Chase POV:
"What do you think of her?" I asked Luke. While we were at lunch, eating food that we brought from Luke's house. The other boys haven't settled yet, so they weren't here.
"Who?" He asked, looking in my direction. There was a group of girls talking and laughing, but there was one girl that stood out from the rest.
"Her," I pointed at her quickly, hoping she wouldn't see me. I don't know why, but all last year I couldn't talk to her. One by one the boys sat next to us.
"Who?" Luke frowned, still trying to find her. I smiled and shook my head side to side.
"Yeah who?" Trevor butt in, playing around with us.
"Lisa." I told them, mainly at Luke.
"There's like two Lisa's at that table. The one with the glasses?" Luke asked, looking back at the table I pointed out first. Everyone looked at me after looking at the table.
"Lisa Jones. The one with short blond hair, and light brown eyes." I told him, smiling.
"The one with the killer curves?" Luke smirked. Everybody laughed a little.
I rolled my eyes, and punched him lightly on the shoulder. "Shut up you cunt. Don't disrespect her like that. She's more than her curves." Oh god, I sound like a stalker. I've been keeping my eye on her and she's always helping people around her and she's always smiling.
"Oooo" some of the guys let out, laughing.
"Chase has a lil crush." James said in a baby voice.
"Shut up." I told him, hitting him lightly on his arm.
"Dude, it's true tho, but I get it. I'm sorry, I won't talk about her like that." Luke said, raising his arms up like a cop caught him in the act.
"Thanks dude." I shook my head, smiling. That's one thing I like about Luke, once he fucks up, he admits he's in the wrong.
"What do you think about her tho?" Luke asked.
"Who?" Josh asked.
Luke pointed at a girl who was getting snacks at the snack bar. She was on her phone, in the line waiting for her turn to pick and choose. Should I get something later?
"She's hot," Trevor commented.
"She's smoking hot," James added.
"Oof, she's beautiful" Josh held his heart dramatically.
"She's alright." I shrugged my shoulders. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy. I mean, she doesn't catch my attention. She is pretty and all, but I don't know. I have a vibe from her. Not bad or not good. Just a vibe. Or maybe I'm saying that so I won't feel guilty of thinking about another girl other than Lisa.
"What do you mean alright?" Luke expresses, throwing his hands in the air.
"I don't know man. Somethings iffy about her. I don't know." I shrugged, eating my apple.
"Look at her tho, like really look at her." He said, staring at her.
She's getting Flaming Hot Cheetos.
"Okay and?" I asked.
"What do you meannn." James asked.
"Look at her beautiful curly hair. She has a cute outfit on. She could be wearing a trash bag and still look stunning." Luke expresses. I get that, Lisa Jones could look beautiful in anything.
"Or nothing at all." James chimed.
"Watch it," Luke glared at James.
"Yeah Luke, beat his ass," Josh told him.
"Or you can beat mine instead." Trevor suggested. These idiots.
"When and where?" Luke asked Trevor.
"Can I join?" James asked them, laughing.
"Y'all are something else." Josh laughed at them, shaking his head.
"Do you know her name?" I asked Luke, getting back to the topic.
"Of course. Her name is Victoria Hernández. I haven't talked to her. But what attracts me is how she carries herself. She has a lot of confidence." He told me matter of factly.
"You wanna bet money?" I asked him, all of a sudden.
"What?" Luke asked me, confused. "What do you mean?"
No one said a word, I caught everybody's attention. I don't know what I'm saying at this point.
"We both obviously like these girls. I don't know about you, but I don't have the guts to talk to Lisa. At all. I know you don't got the balls to talk to Victoria either." I challenged him. Everyone looked at him.
"Ooooooo" The boy's mocked.
"Okay, how much you wanna bet?" He asked me.
Hmmm, I didn't think past this point, I honestly was bluffing. "How about $20?" I suggested.
"How about no," Luke laughed, "that's too low. We need to amp it up a bit. How about, whoever gets their phone number, takes them on a date after 20 days, and kisses them after, hmm, let's say 50 days win and gets $40. You get the girl and free money."
Fuuuuuckkkkk. I don't know about that, but I can't back down now. "Deal."
"Shake on it." Luke said.
We shook hands. We've never broken promises, ever.
"Now, if you will excuse me, I shall be wining this bet." Luke got up from his chair and made his way to the snake bar. My eyes widen. Yo, what?
"He got balls. What the fuck" Trever told me.
Victoria was still there, but this time she was talking to a girl who had stopped her from going to her table. They were in a deep conversation, laughing and such.
"I bet you feel stupid right now" James told me.
I didn't say anything. Yeah. I feel hella stupid right now. Luke found the opportunity to cut the conversation to talk to Victoria. He said something and she laughed.
"Looks like he got rejected," Josh observed.
"I don't know." I told him. Knowing Luke, he probably said something stupid to Victoria and she thought it was funny.
"He's coming." James stating the obvious.
Luke sat down, smirking at me. I have a bad feeling about this. He held up his phone.
"Damnnnn" everybody said.
"Step one. Completed." Luke proudly said. I saw Victoria's phone number on his contact list.
Fuck me. There's no going back now...
