Chapter four: Prank Night

I ran up the stairs with murder on my mind. "Jax! I need that phone! All my contacts are in there!"

"Oh boo freaking hoo, you can go buy a new phone tomorrow and call your boyfriend then. Or are you still fighting over which one of you should hang up first? I, on the other hand, am blue!"

I smirked. "Just agree to leave and I'll tell you how to get rid of the blue", I bluffed.

"You're gonna tell me anyway", Jax said threateningly and came closer to me.

I backed away from him. "Or what?"

He grabbed me in a bear hug and my brand new white top now had blue smears on it. "Get off me!" I screamed but as a response he picked me up. My legs were dangling in the air as I tried to pry myself off of him.

"What, I thought you liked your men gross and without a shirt?"Jax teased and held me tighter so even more color stuck on me. "Now tell me how I get this stuff off and I'll let you go."

"Psycho, put me down!"

"Ain't gonna happen, princess. Tell me how to get this off", he commanded and when I didn't reply, he began to shake me like a maniac.

"I don't know, okay! I just said that I did so you'd agree to leave!"

He rolled me around until I was facing him. "Let's get one thing straight, Natalie Harper. I'm not going anywhere, no matter what you do."

"You say that now but after a couple of awkward dates with your girlfriend feeling blue, I'm sure you'll change your mind. Now, if I had my phone I could find out how to get that off..." I said accusingly.

Jax sighed. "Chill out, psycho. Before I put it in there, I put it inside a mini grip bag. Your phone's fine", he spat and put me down.

"Oh thank God", I muttered as I smoothed my clothes and fixed my hair. I glanced at my shirt and then glared at Jax who pretended not to notice.

"See? You can go call your boyfriend now and while you're at it, ask him if he knows how to get blue color off of human skin."

"I don't have a boyfriend and I doubt he'd know anyway."

"Then why was it so important to get your phone back right at this minute?"

"I told you. All my contacts are in there."

"What contacts?"

"Nosy, much? Well, there's my publicist and all my blog connections."

"Wait, you have a blog? Oh you're too much, Natalie", he chuckled.

I flipped my hair, annoyed that he was making fun of me. "I have over 1,000 readers so bite me."

"Don't tempt me."

"You are disgusting", I said as I went to save my phone. I had to dig through about 16 boxes of jello to get it but my phone was - as Jax had promised - fine. I called my publicist and told her that I'd be hard to reach for a while because I was visiting friends. She told me to enjoy my trip and send her the rough plan for the first six chapters of my upcoming novel in the next three weeks or so. Mary is just the best publicist ever and more like a friend than an actual colleague even though she does an awesome job.
