Day Eight

70) You stare at the dogs body. It's belly had been ripped open and it's eyes plucked out. You gasp and look away. Tears fall down your cheeks and you stare at Rick, not wanting to look at your poor dog.

He pushes past you and takes one look at your dog.

'Oh my god...' He whispers.

He instantly pulls you to his chest and cradles you in his arms. You wrap your arms around his waist and cry into his shirt.

'It's ok' he comforts. 'It's ok.'

Who could have done this? You feel anger bubbling inside you and you look away to the ground. You pull away from Rick and wipe away the tears.

'Are you alright?' he asks.

You nod and take a deep breath in.

'Yeah, I'm fine. I just want to know who has done this,' you reply, through gritted teeth. You quickly wipe away the tears and Rick guides you away from the body.

'I'm so sorry. If it helps, we've all lost loved ones-' Rick begins. You loose focus and think about why somebody would have done this. You had never upset anyone, yet this had happened to you!

'I wanna know who did it,' you whisper. Rick nods and tells you to take a minute on your own.

72) You wait until Rick is out of eye sight and then round everyone up.

'I have something to say,' you announce.

Everyone stares at you and then listens intensely.

'This morning I found my dogs body. It had brutally been killed. No zombie would have slit it's stomach open, pluck it's eyes out, or stabbed him repeatedly,' you begin. 'Does anyone have anything to say?'

Silence.

'Right. Well let me warn you... whoever you are, I'm going to find you...' you walk away and wipe away tears.

You walk to the vegetable patches and collapse onto the grass crying.

Why? Why would someone hurt your dog?

'Are you okay?' says a voice from behind. You glance back to see Carl and nod your head.

'I'm really sorry to hear about what happened,' he says.

You stand up and decide to stop feeling sorry for yourself...

73) Once Rick is out if eye sight, you go and search for Carl.

'Have you seen Carl?' you ask Lori.

'Yeah, he's just with Hershel at the moment. Do you want me to tell him that your looking for him?'

You nod and make your way to the vegetable patches.

After half an hour, Carl appears.

'Are you okay?' says a voice from behind. You glance back to see Carl and nod your head.
