Chapter 43 : Hye-Rang's Death
Subin's Pov
"How's everything doing?"Chanyeol asked, as he glances at Hye-Rang. I let out a deep sigh. "She's still unconscious."I said.
"Is Yeon-Hee coming?"He asked again. I nod, "Yeah. She'll be here before the trial starts."I answered. He lets out a deep breathe, as he nod his head.
"Everyone seems tired. You should all get some rest."I said, "We're fine. We'll stay here."
"How's Ye-Na?"I asked, as i sat down beside Hye-Rang. "She seems good. She keeps asking when will Hye-Rang wake up, so she can come and visit her."I let out a smile.
"She will woke up soon."I tilt my head up with a smile. Suddenly, in the midst of our conversation, i felt Hye-Rang's fingers move.
I shove my head to her, and saw her eyes slowly moving. "Hye-Rang? Can you hear me?"I asked. "Chanyeol, call the doctor."I said.
As Hye-Rang opened her eyes, tears couldn't stop but roll down from my eyes. "U....unie."
"It's okay. You don't have to speak."I said, as i grab her hand and kiss the back of it. When the doctor came, he check on Hye-Rang. "She seems good. Her vital signs, her heartbeat are all in good condition."Says the doctor.
Upon hearing that, a wide smile was formed in my lips. "Let's go home, okay?"She slowly nods her head, and tears couldn't stop but roll down from my eyes.
"Subin, Yeon-Hee's here."Says Suho. I look at Hye-Rang, and caress her forhead. "Baby, Mom is here. She badly wants to see you."I said.
"E..e..omma?"
"Yes."Yeon-Hee slowly enters the room, and upon seeing Hye-Rang, she immediately walk towards her. I couldn't help but cry.
"Let's give them a moment."Chanyeol said. I nod, as we step out of the room, giving them space.
I let out a deep sigh. "Now, Hye-Rang's, we can all breathe."Kyungsoo states.
"WHERE IS MY GRANDDAUGHTER?! IS SHE OKAY?!"Suddenly, Yeon-Hee's mom arrived. We all let out a deep sigh.
"She's awake. But, Yeon-Hee's talking with her. So give them some space."I said.
"What?!"She walks towards the door, and look through the glass window. She lets out a deep sigh. "I guess, Yeon-Hee really felt sorry."She said.
We all looked at each other, "I'm sure she does."
Yeon-Hee's Pov
"Baby?"I grab her hand, and slowly caress it, while tears couldn't stop but roll down from my eyes. "Mom is sorry. I'm sorry for leaving you behind. I'm sorry, that you had to go through all of these."I said, as i cry.
"M.mom. I'm...okay."I tilt my head up and caress her forhead. "Are you sure? Does it hurt anywhere?"I asked.
She lets out a smile even behind her oxygen mask. "I'm o..kay."I let out a smile, as i kiss her forhead. "Please be strong. For Mom. Please fight, okay?"She slowly nods her head, as tears slowly roll down from her eyes.
"Mom, saranghae."
"Nado saranghae. Nado sarangahe, my princess."I said, as i kiss the back of her hand, as i continue to cry. Then suddenly, her monitor went crazy.
"HYE-RANG!!"I yelled on top of my lungs, surprised and scared.
"SUBIN!!"
"WHAT'S GOING ON?!"As Subin came, her eyes widened in surprise, as she walks towards Hye-Rang. "GUYS CALL THE DOCTOR!"Subin yelled.
"HYE-RANG! NO, BABY! NO."She began to have seizures. When the doctor came, they told us to stay at the corner. I couldn't help but fall on my knees, as Subin grabs my shoulder.
I could see the doctor pumping her heart, as monitor goes a total line and it breaks my heart. "Hye-Rang, please fight!"
After 5minutes of trying, to revive her. It was over. "I'm so sorry. But, the patient was not able to handle the -complications. I'm sorry for your loss."Says the doctor. By that, i fell on my knees, tears heavily flowed down from my eyes.
I ran to Hye-Rang, and pull her to my arms, hugging her so tight, as i crying in pain. This is the worst nightmare, a parent could ever have.
"NO!!! HYE-RANG, NO!!! DON'T LEAVE MOMMY! BABY NOOO!!"
Subin's Pov
Seeing Yeon-Hee like this, really break my heart. Tears rolled down from my eyes, as i grab Hye-Rang's hand, holding and caressing it.
As the nurse came, they covered Hye-Rang with a white sheet, and that made my heart broken into shatter of tiny pieces. I couldn't help but fall into Chanyeol's arms, as i cry.
I walk towards Yeon-Hee, who couldn't stop crying. No parent can bare the pain, of loosing some so special. Especially, if it's your own child.
I caress her shoulder, and pulled her into my arms.
After Three hours, Hye-Rang was brought to the morgue. Yeon-Hee and I stayed outside, as we couldn't leave Hye-Rang behind.
"This is all my fault."She said.
"If only, i was with her. If only, i spend my time with her. This wouldn't happen."She continued.
"No one liked what happened. I know, Hye-Rang already forgived you."I said, as i grab her hand and caressed it.
She tilt her head up, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have thought of revenging you."I let out a deep sigh.
"Things happen for a reason, and i know God has a reason too."I said. "Your so kind, that i felt bad for myself. I only have Hye-Rang in my life. But, now she's gone. I feel like i don't have anymore purpose of living."I shook my head, and said.
"No. Don't think like that. You have to be strong. I know, Hye-Rang wants that."She tilt her head up and looks at me. I pull her into my arms and gently caress her shoulders.
"I lied. Hye-Rang is not Gil-Hwan's daughter. She's Moon Joosil's daughter, my ex-husband. I only did that, so that i can give Hye-Rang a better life."She said. I let out a deep sigh.
"Things will be okay. Everything will be okay."
