Chapter 41 : Hye-Rang's Sacrifice
"HYE-RANG!!!"
I ran towards Hye-Rang, who was already at floor, bleeding. I hold her body and placed it on my knees, tears starts rolling down from my eyes.
"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!"I yelled at Yeon-Hee. Within a minute, the police came and took Yeon-Hee to the Police Station.
When the other guys came, the help brought Hye-Rang to the hospital. "IS SHE GONNA BE OKAY?"I asked, as i rode the ambulance with her, holding her hand tightly.
"U—unnie."I look down, to see Hye-Rang, smiling but already having hard.
I held into hands so tightly, crying so hard.
"Hye-Rang, you will be okay. Were almost at the hospital. Pleaseee. Pleasee hold on."I said, as i couldn't help myself but fear.
"Un—nie, komowo. For being, such a nice person to me.. F-for taking g-good care of me. For giving me your shoulder when I needed it. You showed the love when I wasn't feeling it, you helped me fight when I was giving in
and thank you for making me laugh when I was losing it."I couldn't help but cry, as i listen.
"You're such the nicest little kid, i have ever met. You're too young to sacrifice yourself for others. Please hold on, Hye-Rang."I said, as i kiss the back of her hands.
Within a minute, we arrived at the hospital. Quickly, bring Hye-Rang to the Operation room.
"Ma'am, you have to stay outside."The nurse says, as she closes glass door infront of me. I sat down the bench, hoping and praying that she could make it.
"Subin!"The other guys came, after following us.
"Is she okay? How is she?"Kris asked. I let out a deep sigh. "She's still in the operation room."I answered. They all sat down, and prayed.
"How about Kyung Chul?"I asked. "He's stable. He was just shot at the left shoulder, so he'll be fine."Says Chen. I nod, as i hold my hands together.
"How about Hye-Rang? What happened?"Soo-Yeon unnie asked, as she sat down infront of me, holding my hands. Tears couldn't stop to roll down.
"She sacrificed her life for Me and Chanyeol. She took the bullet, for us. I feel so bad, unnie. I feel so bad, that a 13year old like Hye-Rang, she could do that."I explained, with a heavy heart.
"Let's just hope and pray that she could make it, okay?"I nod, as she pulls me into an embrace, caressing my shoulders.
The operation took about 3-4 hours. Suddenly, the doctor came out, making all of us stood up from our seats.
"Doc, how is she?"I asked. "Are you the mother?"The doctor asked. I look at Soo-Yeon, "I'm her guardian. How is she?"I said.
"We already took the bullet outside of her body, so she's stable but,"The doctor sighed, before continuing what he was saying.
Soo-Yeok unnie and I looked at each other, anxiously. "There's could be chance that she won't make it."The doctor continued. Our eyes widened and our jaws hang wide open.
"What do you mean? You already took the bullet outside of her body. What do you mean?"I asked again. "She just came from an operation, which i think when she was about 11 years old, and the shot made her condition so critical. But currently, she's stable. Her heartbeat, her vital signs are stable. But, lets not all be sure of it."The doctor explained. I sighed.
"Please do everything you can, doc."Says Soo-Yeon unnie. "I will."
As the doctor leaves, i turned around and face Soo-Yeon unnie. "U-nnie."She pulls me into a hug, as she caress down my hair.
"Everything's gonna be okay."She said.
As the nurses bring Hye-Rang to the recovery room, we immediately followed from behind. I let out a deep breathe, as i look at her from outside the window.
"Please hold on, Hye-Rang. Please hold on."
Suddenly, Yeon-Hee's mother came with a guy behind her. "Where's my grand daughter?! How is she?!"She asked.
"What the hell are you doing here?!"I asked, as i walk towards her. "I'm here to see my grand daughter. Isn't obvious?"She answered.
"You don't have a grand daughter here. Because you couldn't even stop your own daughter from doing things that made her daughter's life put in danger!"I said. She looked at me confused.
"What do you mean?"The guy behind her asked. "Who is this guy?"Chanyeol asked. "He's the father of Hye-Rang."She answered.
I sighed, "You must have been tolerating your daughter so much."I said. She smirks, "I have actually stop, listening and following her plans, for it made Hye-Rang ran away from our home. Believe me, i tried everything to stop Yeon-Hee but she let her anger ate her."She exclaimed.
"Then, you should probably know that Hye-Rang sacrificed herself for us, and was shot by Yeon-Hee instead of us."Upon saying that, her eyes widened.
"WHAT?!"
"So you didn't know?"I asked. "How can i know? When she doesn't tell me her plans, and i have stop following her plans."She answered.
"Then you probably don't know we're alive."Soo-Yeon unnie who just came from behind them, said. They slowly turned around was even more surprised.
"Y-your alive? How?"She asked. "You don't have to know how. But that was the reason, why we held a party for Yeon-Hee. So she could see that no matter how times she tries to kill us, we'll keep on coming back alive."Soo-Yeon unnie said.
"I don't care if your alive. What i came here for, is to see and check on Hye-Rang. I also don't care what you do to Yeon-Hee, because to be honest i'm also tired of sick of her games and plans. She even forgot she has a daughter, and now she put her daughter's life in a great danger."She said, we all looked at each other with a sigh.
"She's stable but she could not make it."I said.
