"It is our choices, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."

Gibb's Viewpoint:

I stood at the gate after I locked it after letting Ziva onto the property. I looked around until I saw the man again. I soon realized that it was someone that I knew. The sleeve on the man's jacket was all too familiar.

"FP," I called out, "What the hell are you doing here?"

FP soon came out from where he was standing and faced me. He was quite a distance away from me, so I knew that it was going to be hard to hear him.

He raised his hands up and called back out to me, "Are you okay if I come closer to you?"

"Yeah," I replied.

He then walked slowly up to me while keeping his hands up in the air. The way he looked at me, the way that he was dressed seemed off.

He was soon close enough to me before he stopped.

"Gibbs," He said, "We got a really big problem."

"Yeah, isn't it kind of obvious?" I replied.

"Missy's boss was forced to make that call on the investigation," FP said.

"What the hell are you talking about?" I questioned.

"Lodge forced her boss to call off the investigation," he said.

"How? The president was there in person with the Secret Service. Lodge wasn't there," I said.

"That is because he was pointing a gun at the head of the woman that he loves," FP explained.

"What are you talking about, FP? 'Cause right now, you are talking a conspiracy that is going to spark a fire if it gets out," I replied.

"I was there. I was the one who was pointing the gun at her," FP said.

"And why the hell would you do that? That is a crime to not only have the gun, but the fact that she may have nearly murdered because of an order that you choose to follow instead of defending your sister," I said as I was now starting to lose my temper with him.

How could he even think to do something like this to her? She was his older sister, his entire world besides the shitty family that they were given as children. But little did I know the extent of how crazy their family was.

"It's because it wasn't Lodge that gave the order. It was someone much greater. Someone who holds a lot of power," FP said.

"Who then if not Lodge?" I asked, a look of confusion and anger came over my face.

"I don't know. All I know is that it's someone who knows her and knows her well enough to make a difference in her life," He said.

"Well, didn't you get a name?" I asked.

FP shook his head no. I then sighed heavily before I then put my gun back into my holster. I knew that Missy carried a lot of secrets and that I may never know all of them, but the darkness that surrounded her was something that I could never imagine that she would have to carry for so long.

I knew that there was a reason why FP was here. As far as I was aware, there was no reason for him to be here. Missy also never mentioned him coming otherwise she would have said something.

I had to keep an eye on him in case he was the one who was going to betray her in the end. Missy never trusted people especially those who were close to her and family members. So I knew that she had her reasons for it and I am starting to see why.

I then said, "How did you find us?"

"I got the address from an old letter that Missy had that's been laying around her office," FP said.

I knew that that would be a lie. I knew Missy's office all too well as it was one of the most organized offices that I have ever seen. She would also not leave something out like that especially as she made sure that she would lock up that kind of information to protect not only her privacy, but also her life.

"FP, are you sure about that answer or do you want to tell me the actual truth?" I asked.

"I am telling you the truth, Gibbs. Why would I lie to you?" FP argued.

"Uh, it's called bribery. You in debt?" I asked.

FP was soon silent. I knew by the look in his eyes that he was in a deep amount of debt. I knew that Missy's mom's family was wealthy, but that each child and grandchild was given a certain amount of money and that Missy was the only brilliant child in terms of not spending on something like drugs or alcohol. She knew better. She worked hard to get to the life that she has now.

"FP, why would you betray her too? Especially after all that she has been through?" I questioned.

FP's eyes were filled with tears.

"She would have helped you...even if you were too ashamed to tell why. She loved you so," I continued.

"I...I know, Gibbs," FP said through his tears that he was now shedding.

"Now....now is the time to tell her the truth, not the bullshit lie that you were going to originally tell her. She deserves that at least," I said.

FP nodded before he spoke, "I know, Gibbs, that I failed her just like I failed all the others, but it wasn't my intent to hurt her. I didn't make the connection that she was the one that Lodge wanted until I got put into interrogation. I just thought...."

"What did you think that it was, FP? A game? A catch up with an old friend? No...No...he has an obsession with her. God knows why he wants her specifically. But she sure as hell hasn't wanted him around her with a ten foot pole in between them. The man couldn't figure it out to save his life that no means no. She refused to give him consent then and she still does to this day. Now....now you took that choice away from her again, and at the end of the day, she is going to be the one that will haunt your every move, your every dream, every corner that you turn, she will be there....to hunt you down like a lion hunting its prey. She won't show you any mercy and you know it," I said, anger seeping into my words.

FP just stood there, his hands running through his hair, the panic setting into his voice as he repeatedly said, "What have I done?"

"I can tell you that....you just nearly killed her again...now it's time for you to seek for forgiveness. Get inside that house and start begging before I lose my temper on you," I said.

FP nodded as he began to walk towards the house. I let him through the gate before locking it behind me. He lead the way to her house and I knew....I knew that he gave the man who haunting Missy's every move, every dream, every nightmare, the one thing that she swore to protect and there wasn't going to be much time left for her to be shown mercy as she has given to those who seek it and that was what broke the camel's back and my heart for me.

It was only going to be a matter of time before Lodge would be here to take her life away once more and it was time to build those defenses before the damage was done and we lose her forever.
