Danny's P.O.V.
I watch as the love of my life blames herself for the death of our baby girl that was born too early to survive on her own or with machine. I watch her heart break more than I ever have before almost like she's buried one child already. I leave her bedside for a moment and send a text to Ben
"Ben we had a baby girl she cried once and passed away help me find soft small cute clothing for her idk what name we will give her. look up funeral homes and everything else. i don't care the cost."
"Can i hold her Addy?"
She gently sets her in my arms and a lady with paper work comes in. she doesn't say much just tells us there is a lady who will take pictures if we want her to and the birth certificate.
"I don't have anything nice for her all i have is blanket I made years ago it's in a box under the bed i don't know why i inscribed it with the name Everleigh though we never talked about baby names. i'm so sorry Danny it's all my fault."
ben shoots me a text when he finds stuff that he believes will fit her and he says he also found the box with the blanket. i step out of the room and take the box from Ben and walk back in and see Addy softly humming through her tears giving her a bath before they take her away we have and hour before the do.
"I sent Ben out to buy a few outfits and he found the blanket you sit down Addy i'll dress her you help me wrap her. She looks like a perfect tiny angel do you think someone will watch over her in heaven."
"She'll have Evelyn to watch over her."
Without missing a beat she wraps Everleigh in the blanket and the lady comes and takes some pictures. as morbid as it sounds, but i don't want to forget how she looked. when they take her away i lay in bed with Addy and hold her as we cry.
"Who's Evelyn?"
She takes a deep breath and explains. I ask her if the burial plot where she placed some ashes of Evelyn's next to her is available, she tells me it is and fully paid that it was gonna be hers I get the name of the cemetery and make all the arraignments. it takes almost 6 months for Addy to get back to normal I can only imagine what it's like to have two children to pass away. I went out a few days ago and bought a beautiful wedding ring just have to wait for the right moment.
