Emma

I went home that night, just laying in bed. With all my pain.

Mom came home and I didn't tell her anything. She just went to bed. I scrolled through my phone- desperate for a distraction.

My Grayson was just another Ethan. My best friend didn't tell me after knowing for a month. My family life is royally fucked too.

I have nothing good going for me.

I cried and cried all night long. It was a massive shock to me. I never ever would of dreamt he would do that to me. I know he feels the same too. I bet he is in disbelief within himself.

It's completely out of his character.

He promised me and I was gullible enough to think he would keep it.

I'm just gonna try live my life, maybe try hard at school? Something other than cry.

I'm sort of numb to it all.

I sat and I thought about Ethan. What he had said. He told me he was in a dark place and he told me had liked me since before Grayson- meaning I caused his dark place.

I can't sit here and point fingers at everyone for doing bad stuff when I broke Ethan's heart.

I could of reached out to him too for all of these years.

I hurt him.

I remembered I had his snapchat so I messaged him.

Emma: i hurt you ethan and for that im so sorry. me going through this gives me a hint of what you have felt like and im barely coping. are you busy?

Was it dumb to message the brother of my boyfriend who's just cheated on me to see if he wants to hang out and keep my mind off of things, probably.

I have to remind myself that I was bestfriends with Ethan a long time ago and for a long time, I didn't even know Grayson until much later. It's just unfortunate they are brothers because it's seems weird.

Minutes later I got a reply.

Ethan: Nah Em you just cheated on pls don't compare urself okay😂 I got u. what u need?

Emma: some company and idk something to chill me out

Ethan: No way ur doing weed

Emma: i didn't even mention that!!

Ethan: You wanted me to offer didn't u tho

Emma: no
Emma: can i come to u?

Ethan: Are u sure? It's late and I don't want u to be out this dark

Emma: i know it's bad but right now i do not give a fuck about a lot of things lol

Ethan: Hey young lady do not swear

Emma: omg shut up
Emma: leaving in 10

Ethan: Be safe and here's my number if anything happens

He sent the number and I saved it. I literally just grabbed my keys and left the apartment. I texted my Mom letting her know where I was.

Walking fast on the pavement and seeing the streetlights on. I was scared shitless. I was scared in the afternoon so let alone now when the sky is pitch black.
