Konnichiwa! In this lesson we will learn basic japanese manners. These include; I'm sorry, Thank you, excuse me, and many more.
Arigatou Gozaimasu= (formal) This is the formal way of saying, "thank you". It is like saying "thank you very much" in english. If you are talking to family or close friends you would say, "Arigatou"
Sumimasen= Excuse me, or I'm sorry.
Gomenasai= I'm sorry.
Dōitashimashite= You're welcome. The "ō" is pronounced "oo" it would help if you split the word up like this: Dō itashi mashite.
Doumo= thanks, it is pronounced "domo"(informal, please only use with friends and family, if the person is older or should be respected, please use the phrase(s) above)
Gomen= sorry (informal, please only use with friends and family, if the person is older or should be respected, please use the phrase(s) above)
