"Wake the fuck up!" Mark shouted as he slapped Donghyuck's cheek harshly. The deer grumbled and swatted and landed a hard hit against Mark's head. The wolf stood stunned for a second, staring confused at the sleeping deer. He laughed a little, rubbing the side of his head.

The deer had been out cold for the past day. Mark had watched him overnight and after another hour or so the bleeding had stopped. By morning, he seemed okay so Mark left him at his house and went to school. When Mark returned home he found the deer still passed out on his bed.

Mark straightened his back and watched as the deer shifted his position. He was still in his black sweatshirt from the night at the club. He lay on his side, his body curled in the shape of C. His curly hair messily covered his forehead and his ears were relaxed, floppy against the side of his face.

Mark had come home from school late and was entirely expecting to find Donghyuck missing, but he was still passed out. It concerned him slightly, but he'd never admit it.

"Hey, Bambi," Mark whispered close to Donghyuck's ear. His voice was low and husky, "If you don't wake up I'll have the hounds wake you."

Donghyuck opened an eye and glared up at him. Mark's breath was warm and felt sticky against his ear. He scrunched his nose as his tail twitched. His ears perked up and he lifted his head, Mark moving back away from him.

"Where am I?" Donghyuck asked in a yawn with his hands stretched high above his head, put up his hands and shook them enthusiastically.

"Welcome to the home of multi-millionaire Mark Lee!" He said with a scarily fake grin. Donghyuck was unfazed by the display and almost ignored the monotone voice's reply.

"Why m' I here?" Donghyuck's voice was raspy and dragged out. Mark's hand dropped as well as his smile. He rolled his eyes with a heavy breath.

"Pretty sure you almost died? Can you not remember the club?" Donghyuck stretched his legs and ignored Mark's question. He pulled his legs over the side of the bed, rubbing the side of his head. "Are you okay, dude?"

"What?" Donghyuck said with half-lidded eyes. He moved his eyes slowly to meet Mark's. Mark furrowed his brows and pressed the back of his hand against the deer's forehead. "Hey, don't touch me," Donghyuck spat as he swatted the wolf's hand away.

"Then answer me, dipshit. I'm not getting blamed for your death." Mark growled, his ears folding back. Donghyuck scrunched his nose and pressed a hand on Mark's chest, creating a barrier between them.

"Did you drug me? How did I get here?" Donghyuck blinked a few times. He was beginning to fully wake up. "AM I DEAD?"

"Shut up!" Mark covered his ears at the deer's shouting. He was most definitely not dead, but he was about to be if he didn't turn it down. "I saved your life, selfish brat."

"As I recall, brat, you tried to kill me the first day we met." Donghyuck sassily responded. Donghyuck wasn't scared of Mark. He was scared of Mark's mutts for sure.

"Tried to." Mark scoffed.

Mark began to leave the room, tired of the noise. He had brought takeout with him, but not expecting Donghyuck, he only brought enough for himself.

Donghyuck got up from the bed and followed Mark into the living area. It was an expensive-looking house, obviously. One of the most well-known wolf's son, of course, the place is going to be expensive. Donghyuck didn't come from wealth, so the place was almost magical to him. The large windows that overlooked the city below with a balcony that seemed larger than his whole dorm.

Mark watched as Donghyuck looked around his apartment. He had a little smirk, he adored showing off. "Like the place?"

"No." Donghyuck responded coldly as he plopped himself on Mark's sofa. He grinned at Mark's eye roll. Mark turned away and went into the kitchen. "I'm gonna sleep here and you're going to take me to school tomorrow."

"Ha, nice one, Bambi," Mark called back. He began to eat his salmon and rice while standing at the kitchen counter. "I'll buy you a taxi back to the school tonight,"

"How very sweet, my knight is shining armor, but I'll get caught for being off-campus after curfew." Donghyuck turned on the tv and saw one of the newer films that Mark was in was playing. He sighed and flipped to a new channel.

Mark closed the lid to his take-out dinner and walked over to the sofa. He sat down beside Donghyuck and kept his eyes on the television screen. "I'm having girls over tonight, you can't stay."

"OK, TMI. Could'a just said you had family things."  Donghyuck got up and hovered over Mark. "Call the taxi, I'll just sneak in."

"If you could sneak in, why did you say you'd get caught?" Mark questioned with a raised brow.

"You got a nice place, not calling the school shitty or anything, but the spring mattress really digs into my back. I don't know if you're aware, but I was stabbed in the back last week, quite literally." Donghyuck glared down at Mark, whom seemed unfazed by the words of the prey animal. Though, he did in fact feel a pang of guilt hit him. He looked away and gave a throaty cough.

"I'll call one now go throw your shoes on," Mark suggested as he pulled out his smartphone. Donghyuck took the advice and walked away from the living area and into the hallway connecting the front door to the rest of the house.

For an addict, Mark seemed to be meticulous about his home. Everything he had seen so far was neat and in order. When the door saw the shoe rack, it too was filed neatly.

He noticed how his scuffed shoes stood out against the designer dress shoes that were just beside them. Muttering something about stupid rich people, Donghyuck slipped on his dirty shoes and waited by the door.

"Leave, he'll be at curb soon." Mark called out after not hearing the deer leave. Rather cold, but what to expect from Mark Lee.

Donghyuck sighed and pulled his hood up and stepped out of Mark's apartment and into the hallway. He looked left and right and began walking in the direction that had a bend. The building was massive, but it was fairly easy to navigate and before long, Donghyuck was standing on the sidewalk outside the building.

He let out a sigh of relief. Mark wasn't all bad. He at least cared enough to not be associated with Donghyuck's death. But, another thought also crept into the deer's mind.

What happened with that Panther?
