"We need to go, we'll be back later," Daniel suddenly announces, looking up from his phone and standing up. He grabs Tori's hand and begins pulling her out of the arcade, ignoring both Zach and Aria completely. "We have to go to a party real quick."
"You want to ditch our friends to go to a fucking party?" Tori incredulously asks as she's basically shoved into the passenger seat. "This is borderline kidnapping you know."
"No, it's not," Daniel replies, slamming the door shut and making his way towards the driver's side. Once he gets in and starts the car, he puts the address into the GPS on his phone. "Tina's at the party so we have to go."
"Ohhh, okay," Tori nods while pulling the bobby pin out so her hair falls in front of her face. Daniel pulls out of the parking lot, beginning the route to the house the party is at. Tori pulls the visor down so she can see the mirror and begins to pull her hair up into a high ponytail. Once she's sure there are no bumps, she pulls the scrunchie on her wrist over the hair to secure it. She doesn't really know what to do with the bobby pin so she just sticks it underneath the base of her ponytail. "Who's party?"
"Jack Avery's," Daniel answers, not taking his eyes off of the road in front of him. "Wasn't he one of the recipients of your letters?"
"Oh my god stop bringing them up," Tori groans, throwing her head back and sinking down in her seat. Daniel can't help but laugh loudly causing Tori to hit him on the arm. The rest of the car ride is filled with silence beside the light hum of the radio. They slowly pull up to Jack's house, quickly getting out and making their way up the front steps. "I don't know about this..."
"Nope, we're going. It's in the contract," Daniel cuts her off, grabbing her hand and pulling the blonde the rest of the way up the steps. They step into the house to find the front foyer empty but the sound of loud music shows that they're at the right house. Tori begins to nervously undo her ponytail and attempt to redo it but Daniel stops her, pulling the scrunchie from her hands. "What are you doing? Give me it."
"What? No, no. Give me that back," Tori exclaims, moving to try and take the fabric out of his hands. Daniel quickly moves it out of her reach with a grin adorning his face. "I'm keeping this because I like your hair down. You look pretty and I'll prove it to you."
"Wha-," Tori starts but is cut off by Daniel pulling his phone out. She quickly fixes her hair so it looks semi-presentable and places her hands on her cheeks, waiting for him to take the picture. The sound of the camera goes off and he shows her the picture. "Fine but you can't lose that okay? It's my favorite scrunchie."
"Deal, now give me your phone," Daniel demands, snapping the scrunchie lightly on his wrist.
"Why?" Tori asks, pulling her phone out regardless.
"Would you trust me?" Daniel mutters, holding his hand out expectantly. Tori places the device in his hands and he quickly opens the camera, taking a selfie on her phone and then looking at it. "Alright, now you need to make this your new background."
"So then what's your new background?" Tori asks, rolling her eyes as he hands her the phone.
"Girl, come on, you already know I got it," Daniel responds, showing her his lock screen that is the picture of her he just took. They both pocket their phones and Daniel puts his hand up, waiting for her to put her hand out. He slaps her hand, interlocking their fingers and pulling her towards where the party is. "Let's go, come on!"
As they walk through the party, Daniel is high fiving and greeting everyone he comes across. Tori, on the other hand, stays quiet and grips Daniel's hand tighter and tighter. This really wasn't her scene in the slightest but as Daniel said, it's in the contract so she doesn't have much of a choice.
