Drew and Adam took me to an apartment complex and told me not to show any sign of struggle or I would have to pay for it later. So, as we walked in, I had to hold Drew's nasty hand and pretend to date him.

One of the neighbors, an elderly woman, smiled at me. I wondered if she knew her neighbors were kidnappers.

The apartment was pretty big, with three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. I was deposited in one of the bedrooms, and the door was locked from the outside.

I wanted a moment before I almost started to cry. But then I remembered that crying never got me anywhere.

I took in my surroundings, and I was surprised it was so nice. There was a mattress on the floor and the closet was full of clothes in my size. Not only my size, I realized as I looked closer, but the same shirts that were in my closet at home. I started to hyperventilate.

How staged was this? Was Mrs. Evens in on it? Mrs. Elderwoods? How did they know it was me that was going to come out to give the tour?

After about a week, they started to run out of food. Surprisingly, they fed me pretty well. Once a day. I was also allowed to go to the bathroom, with permission.

When Adam left for the store, I knew that was when I had to make my escape. I knew that I could not try anything with Adam, but maybe when it was just Drew. Drew was my age, maybe only a year or two older.

I asked to go to the bathroom, by yelling "I HAVER TO PEE!!" at the top of my lungs. Drew came and unlocked the door for me, and let me out.

We walked down the hallway to the bathroom, and then I made my escape. I ran to the living room, but Drew was right on my heels. He grabbed the back of my shirt and yanked me backward. I fell, and we both went down. I stood up but he grabbed the leg, yanking me back towards the ground. I lay there, panting, and decided this was going to take some extreme action. I had really underestimated him. He had strength, but maybe I could outsmart him. I even my breathing and made him think I was done.

I leaned down and bit his arm as hard as I could, then stood up and tried to run. He grabbed my arm just as I touched the door handle.
