Chapter #3

Draco was annoyed. He spent a lot of time outside just so Granger would be asleep when he would go there. He sat one and a half hour outside before he was sure that she went to sleep.

But as soon as he arrived and wanted to use the bathroom she opened the door and bumped into him. Draco wanted to facepalm himself. Why did he have such a bad luck?

Draco looked down to her and he could see her turning red. She slowly looked up until her eyes met his. From this distance Draco could see that her hazel eyes had some golden freckles in them, which slightly reminded him of glitter.

She stepped back and cleared her throat.
„Sorry", she said and went into her room.

Draco's eyes followed her until the door closed. She really had a glow up, even he had to admit that. Her bushy hair, which never seemed organized was now straight and kinda silky. And she grew, he could remember her being smaller than now.

She still wasn't as tall as him though. Draco noticed her muggle night suit and it was weird seeing Granger without her normal uniform. However, Draco went to the bathroom, made himself bed ready and then went to his room. He used a spell to organize his whole stuff and then went to sleep...

Hermione woke up at the perfect time. She had lots of time left before having to be in the great Hall for breakfast. She quickly got ready and proudly looked at herself in the mirror.

The brooch was shining and was incalculable. Her uniform fit perfect and Hermione felt like a whole new person. The excitement was obviously written on her face.

Today Hermione would not have to go to the first and second lesson because she would have to show the new kids around in Hogwarts. She remembered when Ron's older brother showed them Hogwarts years ago. Even if it just felt like yesterday.

Hermione's mood sunk a little bit when she remembered that she would have to be with Malfoy the whole time. But she wouldn't let him destroy her day. He was just someone she would ignore.

She packed her bag before leaving the apartment. Malfoy was in the bathroom at that time so Hermione luckily managed to avoid him.

Hermione decided to go to the library before leaving for breakfast. Her book, which she wanted to read since ages, had finally arrived and she could finally borrow it.

The librarian greeted Hermione and congratulated her for being the new headgirl. Hermione smiled and gently thanked her before going into her favorite corner of the library to sit down and read a little bit of the book.

She read some chapters before finally leaving for breakfast. When she arrived Ginny, Harry and Ron were already there. Harry saw her first before standing up. Hermione almost run to him and hugged him tightly.

She gave Ron a kiss and then took place next to him before giving Ginny a hug as well, who was sitting at her right.

„Seems like you survived the night", Ginny said.

„Yeah, you can say so. He and I luckily just met when I was going to bed. But we didn't exchange any word. Hopefully it will be like that for the whole time", Hermione replied.

„What about the Yule Ball?", Harry asked while biting in his bread.

„Yule Ball?", Hermione and Ron asked.

„Yeah, the headgirl and headboy will go together and open the Ball with a special dance at the beginning", Fred said while sitting down in front of them with George.

„Didn't you know Hermione? You are usually the one who knows everything", said George.

Ron protectively grabbed Hermiones Hand.
„She can't go with that Malfoy boy. She's my girlfriend! I don't even approve that!"

Hermione blushed a little bit because of she loved how protective and cute Ron was towards her.

„Sorry little Brother, you are not the one deciding and she doesn't have a choice. It's a super old tradition and it won't be changed just because you don't approve it. Did you know that Snape danced with Harry's Mom because both of them were the headgirl and headboy. People say their dance was legendary", Fred said.

„When is the Yule Ball?", asked Harry.

„In two month, but we will start practicing this week", George said.

Ron made a weird noise which sounded like: „Hmpf", while Hermione was lost in her thoughts.

How was she supposed to share a dance with her enemy? That wouldn't end good. Unless her and Malfoy would stop hating each other.

Hermione wanted to get more responsible. How about she and Malfoy would pretend as if they wouldn't be enemies at least when they had to do something together.

They both had an important job. But was she able to do that? Hermione left some minutes earlier than the others to arrive at the place they wanted to meet.

Professor Mcgonagall and Professor Snape were already there. Mcgonagall explained Hermione what she had to show the students and what not.

Malfoy arrived two minutes later than her and Snape immediately started to tell him the same as Mcgonagall told Hermione. When they were finished both left and Hermione was alone with Malfoy.

She wanted to tell him about the idea. But she still hated him. He was a brat.

„I have to tell you something."
„I have to tell you something."

Hermione looked to Malfoy with surprise. He wanted to tell her something as well?

„You start", both said at the same time again.

Hermione sighed.
„Okay, you first."

Draco scratched his head and again thought if he should do it.
„Listen, I still hate you, don't think otherwise Granger, but I suggest we both at least don't call each other names when we have tasks to do together."

Granger looked at him without any emotion before saying: „I totally agree with you. We should be mature enough to at least do that", and then looked straight again where the newcomers were coming from.

Granger and him started to show the children the amazing places of Hogwarts and also warning them of the places they shouldn't go. After they finished both of them went their own ways.

They still arrived at the same classroom because both of them had potionclass now. Snape looked at Draco before continuing the lesson.

Will the Dance of hermione and draco will pass by without any problems?
