Levy,

I'm happy to hear you like your book. I'd be more than glad to take you to Mira's bookstore again once you finish it. I'm sure she wouldn't mind staying open late again for you. She seemed to really like you, too. Actually, she won't shut up about me inviting you to come back soon. She even mentioned a book that she wanted to recommend to you. I can't remember the name, though. Gihi. You'll have to ask her when we go back.

I'm honored that you would want a husband like me. And, I'm sure whatever you wish can't be that silly. What is it? If I have the power to make it happen, I'd gladly do whatever it is you want. As for another walk in the garden, what about tomorrow night? We could take a short walk around the gardens, and even go to Mira's. Or perhaps there's somewhere else you'd like to go? Even if it's just sitting by the koi pond, I'd like to see you again, too.

After this afternoon, I've been concerned about you, to be honest. You looked upset when I picked you up after the meeting. Did something happen between you and your father? Or with someone else? I know I haven't known you long, but I was surprised to see you look so down. A smile suits your beautiful face much better, little bird.

I hope that smile finds you again soon, and I hope that whatever it is that caused it to leave in the first place doesn't last long. I look forward to your response and (hopefully) I'll see you soon.

Until then.

Yours,

Gajeel

I clutched Gajeels letter to my chest as my tears started fresh again, I hadn't stopped crying since I made it back to my room. I looked out across the garden to his room, wishing I could see him, wishing I could tell him.

But it was too late.

I quickly wiped my eyes as someone knocked on my door."Come in." I called, glad my voice didn't crack. Lucys smile slipped off her face when she saw and she hurried over to me. " Levy-chan what's wrong?" She asked as she knelt beside me. I opened my mouth to tell her it was nothing but a new sob broke out instead. Before I knew it she was holding me while I cried into her chest and clutching at her kimono. Once I calmed down she gently pushed me back. " What's wrong Levy? You never cry like this." She asked worried.

I wiped my eyes, hiccuping slightly. " Father has found me a husband..." I said quietly. She smiled softly at me and wiped my eyes with her handkerchief. " Oh Levy, i know that's upsetting but surely not cry worthy." She said with a soft smile and I shook my head. " Lucy... I... I love Gajeel." She gasped lightly but I kept going, my eyes burning with more tears. " He's shown me so much kindness and just being near him makes me so happy. Last night he took me outside of the walls! He took me to a bookstore and even bought me a book. He listens to my dreams, he tells me they arnt foolish and he only wishes the best for me... In this short time we have written, I have fallen for him completely... Lucy I... I can't do this!" I sobbed again, covering my face with my hands.

Lucy pulled me close again and stroked my hair like when we were kids, trying to calm me down. I cried until all of my tears were gone but Lucy never let me go, simply huming softly until the candle on my table burned out and even after that. When I finally pulled away she gave me a soft smile. " You should tell Gajeel how you feel." She said quietly but I didn't answer. She left for the night and I sat by my window and looked to the stars, wishing they could take me away from here.
