Gajeel,
I do apologize for worrying you, I was simply tired nothing more. I would love to join you for a walk around the garden, might clear my head.
I would love to know what book Mira was talking about, maybe I can get it next time. Oh, iv been meaning to ask, has Juvia made any progress with Grey? I do hope she is, I haven't seen him lately. I do apologize for the shortness of my letter, it has been a long day, but I couldn't not write you back. These letters are the only things that keep me going.
Yours,
Levy

"That doesn't make me feel much better," I grumbled as I read Levy's letter-if that's what you would call it. There was barely anything written, and the whole thing looked like she had written it through blurry vision.
She had said in the letter that she was fine, but her last sentence completely contradicted that. "These letters are the only things that keep me going."
"What does that mean?"
I was relieved she had agreed to meet with me in the gardens, though. I was determined to get a straight answer out of her, and I wasn't leaving until I did. If it had her acting that weird, I knew it was something big.But what?
"Good evening, Gajeel," Juvia smiled, letting herself in through my open front door.
I grunted a hello, still looking at the letter. Before I could stop her, she grabbed it from me, reading it before I could take it back. Her face turned several shades of scarlet as she looked up at me. "D-Did you tell Levy that Juvia likes-"
"May have mentioned it," I shrugged.
"Gajeel!" She gasped, smacking me on the head. "That was a secret!"
"Stop that!" I snapped, dodging her second attack. "She said Gray talks about you all the time, so you should be thanking me. Now you can talk to him, right?"
"N-No! Juvia is just a maid. She couldn't..." she trailed off, sighing sadly.
"Yeah, you might be right. It's probably smart to stay away from nobles. They're confusing as hell." I hated the bitterness in my voice, but I couldn't help it. Things with Levy had been great-incredible, even-but then something had changed, and I had no idea what. And, it seemed as though she had no intentions of telling me.
"You're meeting her tonight, right?" Juvia asked, knowing me too well.
"Yeah."
"Then don't blow it," she scolded.
"How could I blow it?!" I growled. "I don't even know what's wrong with her!"
"But you do know something is wrong," she told me. "So, be sensitive to her feelings. Levy is a young woman, so treat her like one."
"Too bad I don't know any that I could get advice from," I smirked, chuckling when she hit me again.
"Give Levy some time. Juvia is sure she will open up to you eventually. Don't push her, and just be there for her when she's ready." She sighed as she looked out the window at the setting sun. "Juvia has night duty, so she can't stay much longer, sorry. Good luck tonight."
"Thanks," I nodded.
"Remember to be patient with her."
"Yeah, yeah. In the meantime, talk to that damned Fullbuster," I snickered, watching as she retreated out the door, blushing.
