James Potter was undoubtedly mad right now. His youngest son had blatantly disobeyed an order he had given him and left Hogwarts on the train. James had no idea how Harry did that, after all Sirius and Remus were waiting at the station in case Harry did decide to disobey him. Now he had to wait here in Kings Cross in order to catch his son.
Waiting for a good half a day, James was glad the train had finally arrived at its destination. Standing away from the throngs of parents waiting for their children, he eyed all the doors waiting for Harry to appear in one of them and boy was he surprised when he did. James immediately recognised Harry from the evergreen eyes of his beloved wife to the remaining features granted to him by his grandmother, Dorea Potter nee Black.
Harry stood and projected an air of refined sophistication seen only in purebloods. Any pureblood parent who saw him would think him a pureblood and not the halfblood that he is. Even as he walked, he walked with a certain grace that couldnt be taught. All-in-all, he was the perfect pureblood heir. James couldnt tear his gaze away as his son came towards him trailed by his friends.
Hello father, its so nice to see you. Have you met any of my friends Harry said gesturing to the people around him.
No I cant say I have. He looked to the pale blonde boy and said Though I can guess that you are a Malfoy.
Heir Draconius Lucius Malfoy, Lord Potter; and the two larger boys behind me are Heirs Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle. On the other side of Hadrian, you have Heirs Theodore Nott and Blaise Zabini.
I see. Well Harry you wer
Hadrian, father! My name is Hadrian!
Harry, you were supposed to come to come to the headmasters office when the train left at nine oclock. Why werent you there?
Im here now arent I, besides I didnt see a point to me not traveling with my friends? After all this is what I always do.
You never come home during Yule, so I find that argument unnecessary.
Just because I dont come home doesnt mean I dont go to my friends houses.
James anger began to rise at that. His son would have the audacity to leave the school for the homes of others save for his own. The children of Death Eaters no less.
Be that as it may, Harry, you will be coming home this yule and you have no choice in the matter.
Harry smirked at him, As you wish. Theo, I am awfully sorry but it would seem that I will not be staying with you this Yule. Dont worry though, I wouldnt miss your New Years Ball for the world.
No problem Harry. Just make sure to write, well all be waiting to hear from you
Of course
With that the group of boys left to find Theos grandfather and left Harry with his father. Turning back towards him, Harry looked at his father a cool indifference. Whatever James had planned, he would not be a part of it.
Here take my hand.
Harry took hold of his fathers outstretched hand; and felt a tugging at his navel and the sensation of being sucked up a tube. Instantly, he was apparated from Kings Cross to the foyer of Potter Manor. It looked the same as it always did when he came back in the summers of previous years.
Head up to your room and leave your school trunk in there. The elves will unpack for you. Come to the garden terrace when youre done changing.
He didnt need to be told twice and quickly left. As Harry entered his fourth floor bedroom, he saw that the elves had obviously kept it clean and tidy. The bookcases on the far wall to his right were filled with all the books he had either bought, been gifted and took from the Potter Library. His queen-sized, dark-oak canopy bed sat to the wall on his left; and he could see that it was made up in the green and silver he usually had them in. The walls were covered in a forest-green colour with white crown moulding. The dark wood bay window in front of him had grey, dark green and brown cushions. He may not like his home but his bedroom always made him feel comfortable while there.
Harry set his trunk in front of his bed and unshrunk it. He grabbed a pair of jeans; a dark green, short-sleeved, button-up shirt tucked into his pants and a pair of dragon-hide boots he loved. He then made is way down the stairs, through the front hall, formal lounge and kitchen to the back doors to the garden. Stepping outside he stood on the covered terrace and spotted the gazebo his parents and brothers were sitting in. As he walked to them, he watched how at ease they were, how they just laugh and enjoyed each others company. When he was a few strides away, his younger brother spotted him.
Harry! The seven-year-old immediately jettisoned out of his set and crashed into his legs.
Hey Charlie, hows my favourite brother in the world?
Im happy that your back The little boy said looking up at him, But why are you back, you dont come back during Christmas?
Harry stared into the little boys green eyes and said, Well why dont you ask father that?
They both looked towards the gazebo. Harry with cold indignation and Charlie with shining curiosity. The occupants of said gazebo were staring back at them.
Charlie! Harry! Sweethearts come and sit down please?
Okay mommy! Come on Harry
As Charlie dragged him to the table, Harry couldnt help but think that things were about to get a little interesting.
