Saturday
Tris quickly chugged the rest of her coffee before heading out into the dark, cool night. She had a backpack full of three textbooks on her shoulders and held another textbook, a spiral notebook, composition notebook and a binder in hand. She could use the exercise anyway. As she walked through the streets of New York, a few men would whistle and make smart remarks on her very pleasing looks and physique. To which she would ignore and roll her eyes in disgust.
Men, you love them but it's moments like this that make you want to break their noses. I swear—
Thud.
Tris fell back, dropping her books after bumping into a stranger...again. "I'm so sorry," She said nervously," I'm so sorry. I was to into my thoughts that I forgot to what where I was going." A chuckle," It's okay baby. I need a distraction from these pesky paparazzi anyway."
That voice sounded so familiar...too familiar
Tris stood back up and looked at the woman who'd helped her. There she was, Whitney Houston. Whitney Elizabeth Houston. She wore a black leather jacket, tank top, high waisted jeans and black boots. "H—Hi Ms. Houston." Tris spoke. She chuckled," Just call me Whitney baby. You got a lot goin' on there, you must be a college student. You need a ride?"
"Yeah, sure."
She followed the well known singer into a black SUV. "So," Whitney said, the car pulling of the curb," Where are ya headed?"
"Well, I uh," Tris began. The shock was still setting in, along with nervousness and fear. "I live on Bronze Avenue, the brick and marble mansion at the end of the street."
"Oh," Whitney said with a slight nod," You're one of the lucky girls who live in that house. So, what are you trying to major in?" Tris chuckled," I'm trying to major in Music Production. I wanna be a music producer and work at Arista Records actually...but that was my way of meeting you...Whitney." She laughed and smirked," Hmm, the clever one huh." Tris chuckled," I guess, besides my friend Goldie."
"I never caught your name," Whitney said, raising an eyebrow with a playful smirk on her face. "Tris," She replied," Tris Velasquez."
"Tris," Whitney replied in an easy tone with a small smooth underlying hint of seductiveness," I'll call you T. But here's my number, call me when you need real classes on how to work in the studio." The student smiled," Thank you Whitney."
"No prob."

Hazel looked up from the kitchen counter and saw Tris locking the door. "Hey T," She said," Getting in at two thirty-one, that's pretty early considering that it's a forty-five minute ride. Called a cab?" Tris rolled her eyes and answered," No, I didn't take a cab. I bumped into somebody on the way here." A mischievous smirk quickly formed on the student's face causing her slightly older friend to shoot her a weird look," Why are you smiling like that? Who did you bump into?"
"Whitney Houston," She answered, the smiled still plastered on her face," I didn't look where I was going and I bumped into her. She gave me a ride home and her number but—"
"TMI dude," Hazel remarked," You just could've said Whitney Houston. But hey, you got her number, I am a luck charm after all. But also, guess what?" Tris chuckled," What is is girl?"
"So, after dancing with Aaliyah, I got a voicemail from Mariah Carey. You wanna hear it?"
"Sure."
Hazel quickly pulled out her phone and put the voicemail on speaker. After it played, she said," Oh yeah, we're scoring big."
"Girl, Mariah want you to dance on her music video. Did she say when you can go meet her?"
Hazel laughed," Technically, today at three in the afternoon. I'm just gonna bring Mia and Kiaria...She was screamin' as we talked about it last night."
"Wait," Tris remarked," You danced with Aaliyah as in Queen of the Damned Aaliyah? Romeo Must Die with Jet Li Aaliyah—"
"Yes, Jeez! That Aaliyah." Hazel confirmed," You're supposed to be the calm one and you're already freakin' out. Chill dude. And I wish you could come but I'm pretty sure you have a paper to do, besides, Kiaria's screaming...I'm only hopin' she doesn't faint...'
"Why was Kiki screaming?"
"You know how she gets when it comes to Mariah but you should probably get to bed...You're gonna need it for the freakin' out Kiki's gon' be doing today..."
"Hope she didn't hear..." Tris remarked in a whisper voice. "We'll tell her in the morning, it'll be fine," Hazel reassured," Ah who am I kiddin'. Have your earphones nearby in case she starts screaming." Tris laughed. "But don't worry," The DJ said," You'll get a chance to meet her later. I plan on bringing her back for a small round in the bed with Kiaria as well, if you know what I mean."
"Omg,"
Hazel laughed and added," Well, I'm going back to sleep. See you in the mornin'." She began to walk towards the stairs as Tris said," I'm not going to school tomorrow. I'm takin' a small a break." The golden eyed young adult stopped halfway up the stairs," Ugh. Alright but be ready to go to the club by one."
