Chapter 4

*Nyla's POV*

A couple days later

I don't know how to feel these days. Cashus is my biggest blessing and I'm so glad that I had her. But the way Aziza has been acting has been making me feel like a bad parent. Me and Salone never talked about how the baby would affect Aziza. We were to caught up in us actually having a baby and me being pregnant. I don't regeret Aziza, I love her so much... but its like she distanced herself from me because I always have the baby. She only plays with Salone and it hurts to know that she doesn't see me as her mommy anymore. I didn't think having a baby would do this much damage to my little family.

When Salone gets home Im gonna try to talk to her about how Aziza has been acting. Hopefully we can come up with a solution together because I ran out of ideas to make baby girl happy with the situation. 

Its 7:42p.m. and Salone hasn't gotten off work yet... She got off at 6 because I called up to the hospital. Her routine is to go pick Aziza up from daycare and be home by 6:40. Where the hell is she? I've been home with Cashus, cleaning and cooking. I need time to myself. I need a nap.

*Phone Rings* - Its Kai

"Hello? Kai, where the hell is your bigheaded cousin??" 

"Look Ny dont panic but Salone got locked up... all hell broke loose at that damn daycare man. I can't explain everything right now.. Just come down to the hospital and stay with baby girl... Ima go get Salone!" 

"WHAT? Kai what the hell you mean Salone got locked up ??? What happened to Aziza??? What the hell is going on??"

"Its a long story! Just hurry up and come down here! I gotta go."

*Phone Hangs Up*

What the fuck? I don't know what the hell done happened but I don't know what to do, What am I gonna do if I don't have Salone?

I rush to the hospital with Cashus in my arms asleep. I see Kai's girlfriend Jewelle sitting in the waiting room, when she see's me she jumps up and takes Cashus from me and points the the Children's ICU unit. Instantly, my heart drops to my stomach. What am I about to see? 

I walk to the double doors of unit... tears already running down my face. I don't even know whats going on but I know it can't be good. 

I press the button to be buzzed in... 

When I get inside there are rows of cribs and beds full of children. I look around til I spot a small pair of pink and purple roshe's that match Salone's pair... they're sitting next to a bed with a body in it. The body is wrapped from head to toe with only the face showing. Tears streaming down my face I walk over to the bed. How did this happen?? My baby isn't moving. She's barely breathing. A bunch of machines attached to her. What the hell happened???

Looking at her like this I started getting mad. She's 3 years old. What fucking adult allowed this to happen to a 3 year old. My fucking 3 year old. I need to know what happened... And I need to know now. 

I kiss Aziza on the forehead and walk back out to the lobby of the hospital, wiping away my tears. Jewelle scoots over so I can sit next to her. Cashus is awake, looking around, completely oblivious to whats going on. 

"Kai just called me, her and Salone are on their way."

"What the hell happened??? And why the hell didn't anyone call me??"

"I don't know.." Jewelle looks down, "All I know is Salone called Kai and we sped over to the daycare.. Police, Ambulance and a firetruck were already there. We saw all of that and ran inside. Salone had lost it. Baby girl was on the floor and the emt's were working with her because she had stopped breathing... She had bruises everywhere and a bunch of 3rd degree burns on her legs. Salone was being handcuffed, fighting the police. Kai tried to calm her down but Salone kept yelling for her to call you so thats what she did. I don't know anything before that."

"What you mean burns and bruises?? What the fuck was tey doing to her?"

"I don't know. Only person that know is Salone."

"I can't..."

*gets cut off*

"Ny" 

*turns around to see Salone and Kai*

"Babe are you ok? What happened?"

"I'm fine. Just mad as fuck." 

"What the hell happened????"

"Man I don't even wanna talk about it right now. Where is Aziza? Did you check on her? They let you back there to see her?"

"Yea bae, calm down. I went back there to see her. She's ok for the most part. Are you ok? Do you want something to drink? Sit down. Calm down. You need to calm down and catch your breath. You scaring me."

"I'm fine. I just wanna see Aziza." 

*Salone brushes past Ny and walkes to the Children's ICU unit and waits to be buzzed in; Salone doesn't come back out of the unit for 3 hours while Ny, Kai, Jewelle and the baby sit in the lobby*
