chapter 6

Zeeshan had called his father and Pari's father and they both were to come in the next morning.
Zeeshan's father suggested him not to file a complain against the driver and Lucifer and Aman couldn't be more happy about it.
The doctors said that Pari was alright and only after she would wake up they would determine whether if she was effected by the hit on her head.
It was getting dark outside and Zeeshan and Lucifer were seated in the waiting room.
Aman had gone out to get something to eat and drink.

"You don't have to stay. You can leave." Said Zeeshan to Lucifer.
"I'll leave the next minute she wakes up and I am sure she is ok" said Lucifer and continued "why didn't you place a complain against me?"
"My business of work doesn't allow me to involve the cops in the smallest or biggest of matters" said Zeeshan.
"Well thank you for that and believe me when I say I would not have harmed her intentionally." Said Lucifer.
Zeeshan and Lucifer looked eye to eye and Zeeshan nodded and looked away.

Aman bought in pizza and some beers.
"The nurse didn't allow this in so I had to pay her off. God I love money. It can make everything happen." Laughed Aman.
Aman placed the pizza box and the beers on the centre table and looked at Zeeshan and said "join in dude. You need food for energy to go around punching people" and laughed.
Zeeshan shook his head and whispered "bewakuf (idiot)".
Aman looked at Zeeshan and said "tum bewakuf (you idiot)".
Zeeshan looked at Aman shocked and asked "you speak Hindi?"
"Ofcourse I speak hindi. I am indian" said Aman.
"He doesn't look muslim and has a muslim name and you say you are indian when you don't sound indian. You both are weird" said Zeeshan.
"Aww Thank you for noticing. By the way I haven't been to India since I was ten. But I keep in touch with my culture by watching hindi movies and soap operas." Said Aman.
Zeeshan laughed and said "you keep in touch with your culture by watching movies and soap operas? It's official you are mad".
"Again thank you. Now can we eat?" Said Aman and opened the can of beer and gave one to Zeeshan.
"Oh no I can't handle liquor that well." Said Zeeshan.
"Dude it's mild. You have been stressed all day. Relax with one can. What would happen? She ain't getting up any time soon. This one can will relax you and let you have a good night sleep. Come on". Said Aman.
Zeeshan looked at the can of beer and then looked at Lucifer who was already opening his can.
Zeeshan took the can from Aman and started drinking it.
All three ate and drank.

After their stomachs were full and minds at ease, Zeeshan took the chairs toward the wall and layed down on them horizontally. Good thing that there were no arms to the chairs. Though they were uncomfortable it was ok to sleep on for few minutes. But Zeeshan had fallen deep in sleep and so did Aman taking the other side of the wall.
Lucifer couldn't sleep. He sat there on the chair and was praying for his angel's well being.
Lucifer got up from the chair and walked out. He went towards the ICU where Pari was kept and stood out looking at her.
He looked around and saw no one as it was 3 in the morning.
He opened the door and walked in and stood near the bed Pari was.
He smiled at her and started caressing her cheek.

Lucifer stood frozen in his place when he saw Pari open her eyes.
Pari opened her eyes and looked up at Lucifer.
"Y-you are awake. Oh god you are awake." Said Lucifer and smiled wide and continued "let me get the doctor" he said and looked around to find no one in the room.
He walked out and saw two nurses sleeping on their chairs.
He then saw a nurse walking towards him from the end of the corridor and ran to her and said "she is awake. The girl in the ICU, she is awake".
They both walked into the ICU and saw Pari seated and looking around the room.

The nurse was in her 50s and had a beautiful smile on her face.
"Hey sweetie. How are you feeling?" Asked the nurse who introduced herself as Claire.
Pari swallowed hard and pointed at her throat. She wanted water and Lucifer handed her a small glass of water.
After drinking the water Pari looked up at Lucifer like she was trying to remember of the last time she had seen him.
The nurse was looking at the clipboard in her hands which had Pari's details.
"Ok sweetie do you remember what happened?" Asked the nurse looking at pari with a smile.
Pari shook her head no.
"Do you know your name?" Asked the nurse.
Pari tried remembering but couldn't remember.
Pari looked at Lucifer and said "I can't remember my name." She then looked at the nurse and asked "what's wrong with me?"
"Oh don't worry. You must have amnesia. It says here you hit your head hard so maybe that's why you can't remember anything. That's ok. When you start seeing people you are familiar with, you will start remembering everything in no time." Said the nurse and smiled at Pari and looked at the clip board again and asked Lucifer "Are you Mr Zeeshan Khan?"
Lucifer looked at the nurse and nodded.
"So you are her husband?" Asked the nurse again.

Lucifer looked at the nurse and then at Pari who was looking at him for an answer.
Lucifer thought for second and nodded.
Pari looked at Lucifer and smiled at him.
Lucifer couldn't believe that Pari thought he was her husband.
Maybe this was an opportunity he could use to have Pari for himself.
"I am your husband." Said Lucifer.
Pari smiled at him and said "I am sorry I don't remember you"
Lucifer looked at her and placed his hand on her cheek and said "it's ok angel. We can make new memories for ourselves in which we start our lives from new."
"Aww that is so sweet. You are lucky you have such a understanding husband." Said the nurse.
"Does she have any other medical issue?" Asked Lucifer.
"Well she has a fractured leg and few minor wounds. And apart from the amnesia she is good as new" said the nurse with humour and laughed.

Lucifer looked at Pari and knew he had to act fast.
"Angel I'll be back in a minute. Ok?" Said Lucifer and Pari nodded.
Lucifer smiled once more at Pari and caressed her cheek and walked out of the room.
He went towards the waited room and saw Zeeshan and Aman sleeping.
He carefully went close to Aman and shook him.
Aman opened his eyes and looked at Lucifer who signalled him to keep quiet.
Aman nodded and looked at the sleeping Zeeshan.

Lucifer and Aman walked out of the waiting room and Lucifer looked at Aman and said "I am doing something crazy and I want your help. I'll explain everything to you later but first call Marco and tell him to get the jet ready. We are leaving to Italy now. And tell him I have someone without passport and need to take her with me to Italy. I will give him any amount of money he wants if he helps me take this person with me. Understand?".
"Ok. I'll call him. And you better explain to me everything later." And started to dial the phone.
"And go get the car now and bring it up front of the hospital. NOW." Said Lucifer.
Aman nodded and ran outside the hospital while talking on the phone.
Lucifer walked in the ICU and saw the nurse helping pari wear and cotton shirt and cotton pants from the hospital.

Pari looked at Lucifer and he just smiled at her.
"When can she leave?" asked Lucifer.
"Oh the doctor have to sign the release form and you can take her with you." Said the nurse.
Lucifer went close to the nurse and with all his charm said "you see beautiful. We are not locals here. And our flight was tonight. Now that my angel is awake I like to take her with me to our home. I'll pay all the expenses plus a little for the hospital. Please"
The nurse giggled and said "aren't you a charmer. Ok fine how about you sign a form and you can leave." Said the nurse and Lucifer handed her a big roll of money.
The nurse left the room to get the form with the money and Lucifer looked at Pari.
He went close to Pari and said "let's go home angel" and picked her bridal style.
Pari giggled and held Lucifer's neck.
Lucifer couldn't believe this was happening and couldn't believe she was going to be his. He had time later to think of the consequences of his action but right now he had to act fast to take his angel away.

Lucifer walked past the waiting room and saw Zeeshan sleeping.
'sorry buddy but she is mine now' he said in his mind and smirked at Zeeshan.
He walked out of the hospital and saw Aman near his car.
Aman was shocked to see Pari in Lucifer's arms.
"Open the back door" said Lucifer to Aman and he opened the door with wide eyes and open mouth.
Lucifer placed Pari inside the car and closed the door.
"Dude what the fuck?" Asked Aman.
"I'll explain later. Is the jet ready? Did you inform Marco about her?" Asked Lucifer opening the driver's side of the car and getting in.
Aman was still in shock and just couldn't speak so he just nodded.
Aman got in the passenger seat and looked back at Pari.
Pari smiled at Aman and he smiled back and then looked at the widely smiling Lucifer.
Lucifer couldn't stop smiling and was happy to take away his angel with him.
