CAMILLE
"And he got down on one knee and pulled out this beautiful diamond ring," I smiled, as Victoria held my hand in hers, gushing over the beautiful band which wrapped around my ring finger. "I thought he was going to propose, but it's a promise ring. I wanted it on this finger, to replace it with a different type of ring in the future."
"It's absolutely breathtaking," Victoria shook her head slowly as she ran her fingers across the diamond. "He loves you so much and it is the most pure and precious thing I have ever seen. I want a love like yours and Charles'."
"I don't know what I would do without him." I was so in awe of my boyfriend. He amazed me more and more every single day. I really was certain that he was getting down one knee to propose and I wasn't going to object. I wasn't disappointed that he didn't propose, because his words filled me with enough confidence to know that he would do something of the sort in the foreseeable future. His promise ring was enough for me to comprehend how much he loved me and the sort of future he saw himself sharing with me. After he placed the beautiful ring on my finger, I couldn't stop myself from glancing down at it, as I tried to accept that it was mine. When we arrived back at the hotel, I was lying in Charles' comfortable grip and twirling it around my finger, holding my thumb securely over it. I was overwhelmed; the love I felt in this relationship was so amazing and I couldn't have ever asked for anymore from anybody else.
"Cami." Victoria nudged my side. I glanced up from the table and noticed Charles outside of Red Bull's hospitality, where he waited patiently for me to acknowledge him. I smiled when I saw the soft smile on his lips, excusing myself from the table and heading towards the door.
"Hey beautiful," Charles reached for my hand and he led me closer towards Ferrari, but was discreet about it so that the fans who were lingering around the team's hospitality buildings didn't notice us. "I miss you. I can't wait to get done with all of this press today, but it's so busy because it's my first race with Ferrari."
"Charles, it's fine," I giggled, whilst ruffling my fingers through his soft hair. "Victoria and I are just chilling, we don't have any other plans apart from hanging out here today. Take as long as you need."
"You're the best," Charles cupped my cheeks and shut me up by pressing a quick kiss to my lips. He pulled away just as quick as he'd initiated the sweet moment, but the feeling of his lips was enough for me right now. "I love you so much."
"I know that," I smiled, exhaling as I reached for Charles' hands. I think those words were ones Charles had been so desperate to hear me say. He wanted me to know how he felt about me and admit that straight up, and the reassurance was never too much for him. "I love you most, baby. I can't wait to cuddle up to you this evening."
"I'm looking forward to it already," a smile lit up his face before he checked the time on his phone. "I have an interview in five minutes with Sky Sports, so I should get back inside. If you need me, text me and I'll excuse myself for a few minutes. I love you, beautiful."
"I'll be okay, don't worry about me and just enjoy yourself, alright? I love you." I squeezed Charles' hands, before letting him go and rush off towards his garage. I turned away and headed back to Red Bull, where Victoria was waiting for me with her attention completely focused on her phone.
As I pulled the seat from beneath the table, Victoria's head shot upwards and a smile grew on her lips. She locked her phone and placed it back onto the table, before folding her arms across her chest.
"How's lover boy doing?" She teased, a lighthearted giggle escaping from her lips, which caused me to roll my eyes whilst taking a sip from the glass of water which was positioned in the middle of us both.
