CAMILLE
"The weather is just lovely," I smiled, as I lifted my towel from Lando's bed and followed him towards the pool. "I'm glad I decided to fly out."
"Me too. I missed you." Lando ran his fingers across my shoulder, stopping at the straps of my white bikini. His touch made me shiver; I just wanted to be back with Charles and I felt so guilty for feeling that way. I was still yet to have the conversation with Lando about why I was actually here. I brushed it off for the moment, my excuse for flying out to Croatia being that I missed him so much already - it wasn't entirely a lie.
We headed outside onto the beautiful patio, where Oliver was sitting at the table on his phone. The Norris family were always so welcoming, but it was so lovely to arrive last night after a long journey from Nice. I was exhausted and there was no way Lando and I could talk about everything whilst I was so sleepy. I had to push Charles from my mind as I curled up beside him in bed and slept peacefully, but as soon as I woke up, I knew that I needed to tell Lando why I was here. I just couldn't do it.
"There she is," Oliver's smile was wide as I threw my towel down onto the lounger beside the pool. The apartment was lovely, so spacious and the private pool was an added bonus. Oliver and I were always close whilst growing up because we were of a similar age. I always got on better with boys, but I still managed to form a strong relationship with Lando's younger sisters. "I didn't even realise you were coming until Lando burst in all excited. What brings you here?"
"I missed your brother, believe it or not," I smiled through gritted teeth, hoping to hide the lie I was beginning to create. I felt so terrible. "I needed some time away from Monaco again, too. I couldn't say no."
"It's lovely to have you around. Just like old times." A smile lifted Oliver's features and he nodded, whilst Lando threw the bottle of suntan lotion towards me. I applied a layer to my skin, placing it onto the ground beside the sun lounger, suddenly feeling Lando's hands pressing against my back. He pushed me forwards, a giggle eliciting from my mouth, before my body fell towards the pool. Lando joined me by jumping in, reaching for my body as we pierced the water. He pulled me close, allowing me to wrap my legs around his waist whilst I pushed my wet hair backwards.
"You look so beautiful," his accent was strong in my ear, his breath warm on my face and I swallowed awkwardly as I thought about Friday evening in the club with that boy. I felt wrong for keeping it from Lando all of this time. "I missed having you around."
"It's only been a couple of days," I giggled, as I pressed my forehead against Lando's and cupped his cheeks with my fingers. The Croatian sun was burning my skin as it bounced off of my back, whilst the cooler pool water was a little more refreshing. "But I did miss you. I'm sorry for coming out here and interrupting your family holiday like this. I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon, I just needed to spend some time with you."
"I'm glad. We've all missed having you around, mum and Flo especially. You aren't interrupting anything because you were always like family anyway," Lando pressed his lips to mine and I was a little shocked, his hands falling towards the waistband of my bikini bottoms. The only thing on my mind was Charles and I felt terrible because even though we weren't together, I told him that I wanted to work through things. I barely kissed Lando back and he pulled away with a worried look on his face. "What is it?"
"Nothing," I stifled a laugh, hoping to throw the situation over Lando's head for the minute. I didn't want to tell him yet, I wanted to enjoy the day before telling him later on. I was scared and I couldn't seem to find a way to tell him that I spent Friday night with Charles. I ran my fingers through Lando's damp locks, brushing our noses together. "I just missed you."
