| CRUSH: CHAPTER TWO |

✧ ✧✧

Bailey couldn't believe that she was getting ready for this party. Or that she was actually trying to look good. She stares at herself through the mirror, looking at the outfit that Meg chose for her after coming back from the audition.

Bailey knew for sure she crushed the audition, and she knew the people who were casting thought she was good too. Also that they recognized her name from her father, and had only good things to say about him.

"Hey, you ready-" Meg comes into the room, but stops when she sees Bailey.

"Damn girl, you look hot." Meg fanned her face. Bailey just smiled and shoved her shoulder.

"Whatever. Let's just get this over with." she said grabbing her purse.

"Trust me, you're going to have fun kid."

After arriving to the fairly large house, Bailey could only feel nervous. She didn't know these people that well, but if they were friends with Meg, they were friends with her. Meg grabbed her hand and they headed inside to loud music vibrating the entire house.

"I see him." Meg said into her ear and pulled her towards the back of the house. They squeeze past the slightly large crowd of people dancing.

"You made it!" Bailey hears, and looks up to see the boy she recognized as Milo.

"Of course, wouldn't miss it." Meg smiles, and hugs Milo quickly. Milo notices Bailey and walks towards her.

"And you must be Bailey." he practically screamed over the loud music.

"Yeah! That's me." Bailey laughed. "Anything to drink?" he asked, pointing towards the bar.

Bailey nods her head no. "Not tonight." she smiles, and he smiles back.

They stare at each other, and Bailey realized that Meg was right. He wasn't the worst looking. He was actually pretty cute.

"That's enough googly eyeing. Time to dance." Meg got in between them and grabbed Bailey's hand to drag her through the crowd to the dance floor.

"So, where did you move from?" Milo asks sitting across Bailey from the table that sat outside by the pool.

"Illinois. That's where my mother was originally from, and she wasn't that big on living in LA. Something about it not being a good place to raise a child." Bailey said looking at her Sprite in a cup.

"I was raised in LA, and I turned out fine." he smiled.

"Don't know about that one." Bailey said, making him act playfully hurt.

"I just met you, and I feel like I've known for years." he said squinting his eyes. "I feel the same way." she said looking into his eyes.

"There you two are. Look who I found." the two hear, making them turn their heads. Of course it was Meg, but with Corey.

"Corey, hey." Bailey smiled. "Hey Bailey." Corey said back, with those same eyes. The look that he found the most beautiful thing in the world.

"I found him talking with Sabrina, Rowan, and Peyton. Told him that you were out here." Meg pointed at Bailey.

"Sabrina is here?" Milo asked, making Meg nod yes. Bailey looked at Milo to see his eyes light up from hearing her name. For some reason, she got slightly jealous. That quickly was sent to the back of her mind.

"I should probably go welcome them." Milo said and walked towards the house. Leaving just the three of them.

"And I have to pee." Meg finally said, and walked away as well. Then, it was just Corey and Bailey.

"So, you wanted to see me?" Bailey asked with a raised eyebrow. Corey just smirked and sat down in Milo's spot.

"I don't know. We're neighbors and I haven't gotten the chance to get to know you." he finally said, looking down at his hands.

"Well then, what would you like to know Corey?" she asked, resting her cheek on her hand. He smiled at her.

"Everything."

The night carried on, and soon it was coming to an end. Corey and Bailey talked mostly the whole night, while she got the chance to meet his friends as well. She thought Rowan and Sabrina were amazing, and that they could easily be her friends. Bailey also got to meet the Zombies cast, and of course Meg was right. They were pretty cool.

"Are you sure it's all good?" Meg asked Bailey as she looked up at her while laying in bed.

"Yeah, Corey is just taking me home. You're too drunk to even stand. You need to rest." Bailey laughed, covering her friend in the sheets.

"I'm glad that I have an amazing friend." she yawned and cuddled deeper into the sheets. "You better." Bailey laughed, and headed out the door.

"She'll be okay here, right?" Bailey asked Milo, who was waiting outside the door.

"Yeah, of course. I'll make sure she gets Advil in the morning." he said slightly more sober than Meg.

"Goodnight Milo, nice meeting you." Bailey said hugging him. He hugged back instantly.

Corey coughs, making the two split. "You ready Bailey?"

"Yeah, let's go." she said, walking away from Milo. She waves looking behind her and he does the same.

On the way back to the apartment, the car ride was silent until Corey cleared his throat.

"So, you and Milo?" he asked, gripping the steering wheel.

"What about us." she said, looking out the window.

"I don't know, that hug was pretty long for a goodbye hug." he says, fake smiling.

"God, you sound just like Meg. Trust me, I don't like him. I don't like anyone. And it's going to stay that way." she sighed, looking at Corey.

Corey looked at the girl confused.

"Explain." he said.

"Basically, I don't believe in love. And, to be honest, I don't want to be in a relationship. I want to focus on my acting career, and school."

Corey didn't know why, but that made his heart sting. She basically told him that she would never fall for him, or anyone for that matter.

"I can understand that." he spoke up.

"You're the first." she whispered, looking back at the window.
