Bailey opens the door to her new apartment and couldn't stop smiling. It was perfect. Closing the door, she sets her bags on the kitchen island, kicks off her shoes, and walks into the empty living room. She looks around, already seeing where everything would go. A couch by the wall, and a desk facing the big window that was showing the city.
Excitedly, she waits for the moving truck to arrive to the complex. Sitting on the hardwood floor, she scrolls through Instagram. Looking at all her friends who went around the country to different colleges. Bailey's smile dropped, feeling slightly jealous that they're staying on campus and going to college parties.
Bailey wanted to go to college, but she also wanted to follow her dream to be an actress. It helped that her father knew someone who owned an acting agency, and got her a lot of auditions in Los Angeles. But Bailey would be lying to herself if she said she didn't want to be a regular college student going to parties and meeting boys.
A noise coming from her door sneaked into her thoughts, pulling her out of her trance. Looking at the door, she quickly gets up, thinking it was the moving people. When she opened the door though, it was definitely not.
"Um, hi." she said hanging on the door, looking at the boy that was almost a foot taller than her.
"Hey, um. I live right there," he said pointing behind him to a door, "and I wanted to come introduce myself. I saw you moving in."
Bailey only nodded. He was just looking at her, until he realized that he wasn't saying anything.
"I'm Corey." he finally said, throwing his hand out for a shake. Bailey gladly took it.
"Bailey." she said back, shaking his hand softly. They both let go, and she noticed that he was still staring at her.
Corey was glad that someone finally didn't recognize him, and he was happy that it was her. He found her stunning.
"So, where did you move from?" he asked, putting his hands into his pockets.
"Wouldn't you like to know." Bailey smirked, catching Corey off guard. He furrows his eyebrows, but then she just laughs.
"I'm just playing with you. Illinois. A small town." she said, and Corey slightly got less tense and smiled.
"Cool, you know we should ha-" but before he could finish, two men were walking up to the two.
"Oh, they're here with my furniture." she smiled walking towards them. "Need any help by any chance?" he asks walking after her.
"No, it's all good. See ya." she waved and walked towards the men. Corey just stood there, watching her walk away. Although he only just met her, he was falling hard. It was something about her that made him swoon. It was clear that Bailey Reese was his new crush, and he would do anything to get closer to her.
