| CRUSH: CHAPTER THREE |

✧✧✧

"I don't remember much from last night, but Milo told me that you left with Corey. How'd that go." Meg spoke over the phone, while Bailey listened over her speaker. She folded her shirt and sighed.

"It was fine. He just, took me to my door, said goodnight, and then went to his apartment." she explained.

"So no hooking up?" Meg asked and Bailey's eyes widened.

"Excuse me. Corey and I are not like that. He was the perfect gentlemen of taking me home since my best friend decided to get wasted." she sighed, sitting down on her bed.

"Listen, I was having fun. That's what people do." Meg explained. "Hey, Milo. Make sure you don't burn the bacon. Sorry about that, but seriously B, you need to loosen up."

"Yeah, I'll keep that in mind Meg. Listen, I got to go. I got another audition in an hour."

"Okay, don't have too much fun. Love you, byeee."

"Love you too." Bailey hung up and threw her phone beside her on the bed. As much as Bailey loved Meg, sometimes she somehow pushed all of her buttons all at once.

After getting ready, she headed out the door when she sees Corey doing the same.

"What's up." she smiled locking the door. "Hey Bailey. Sleep well?" he asked and she nodded.

"Where you headed to at this time?" she asks as they walk with each other to the elevator.

"I actually have an audition. You?"

"Same." Bailey said surprised. "For what?"

"Some new movie, it's like called, World of Insanity or something like that."

"No way, I'm going there too." Bailey said pushing the down button. "Really?" he asked.

She nodded her head.

"I wouldn't see you audition for a romance movie." he said.

"Just because I don't believe in love, doesn't mean I don't love love." Bailey smiled, and he smiled back.

"Well, since we're both going to the same place. Want to share an Uber?" she asked. "Only if you let me pay for it." Corey smiled, pulling out his phone from his pocket.

"You nervous?" Corey asked Bailey, who was tapping her foot vigorously. "No, what makes you say that?" she asks, and he looks down at her foot.

He puts his hand on her thigh, to stop her from shaking her leg up and down. She looks down at his hand, and for a moment, she didn't mind it there.

"You're going to do great. I know it." he smiled, removing his hand. Before she could say anything, her name was called. She got up, looked behind her to see Corey smiling and giving her a thumbs up.

After a long audition, and of it going pretty well, Bailey walks out to see Corey gone. She realized that he must have been auditioning right now. She sits down, and waits for him to come out.

Fifteen minutes later, Corey comes out smiling wide.

"I'm guessing it went well." Bailey smiled, standing up.

"You stayed."

"Um, yeah. I was wondering if you wanted to get lunch or something. It's already noon." she looked at her phone. "I would love too. Let's go."

The two walked down the sidewalk of LA, looking at the different types of restaurants.

"Tender Greens." the two say at the same time. They laugh at how they said it in unison.

"You like their food too?" Bailey asked as they walk towards the building. "Like? I love."

They both order their food, and sit down near the window. To Bailey, this was just a casual conversation with one of her neighbors. But to Corey, he was learning everything about the girl that he was falling hard for. She didn't even know how much he wanted her to be his. At least they're friends, which meant that he was going to try everything to get out of the friendzone.

He was watching her talk, and he couldn't stop staring into her beautiful blue eyes.

"What?" Bailey said. "Do I have something on my face?" she asks rubbing her mouth.

"No, no. You just look really pretty today." he said, making her freeze. She didn't know what to say.

"Um, thank you." she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

'Oh no, now she's uncomfortable.' Corey thought to himself. He quickly changed the topic of discussion.

"Well, I'll see you around or something." Corey said as the two were standing in front of their doors. She nods, and watches him turn around and start to unlock his door. Right as he was about to open his door, Bailey speaks up.

"Would you like to come in? Like, to hang out? If you're not busy."

Corey turns around, and smiles instantly.

"Um, yeah. I'm not busy at all."

"Cool, um. Come on in." she said unlocking her door, and opening it up for the two to go in. She stands behind the door, letting him walk in, and she closes it.

"Your place looks exactly like mine." he joked, looking around her home.

"Weird, it's like we live on the same floor and have the same floor plan." Bailey said going straight for the couch. He followed and laughed.

"Okay smartie pants." they sit down together.

"Wanna watch a movie?" she asks, turning on the TV.

"Yeah, I'm down."

As they watch the movie, Corey kept looking over at Bailey. She was curled into a blanket, staring at the screen intensely not breaking eye contact. He clenches his jaw, thinking about how much he wanted to hold her.

It confused Corey if she was catching feelings for him. She did invite him in, after almost hanging out with him all day. Maybe it was just a friendly thing to do, or maybe she was starting to like him as well. As this roamed his thoughts, Bailey noticed from the corner of her eye that he was looking at her.

She didn't know why he was staring at her, but she was going to ignore it. He can't possibly like her, especially after she told him that she was not looking for a relationship. Bailey ignored it and continued to watch the movie.
