Mrs. Allen sent Gerard and I to the bathrooms to clean all the paint off of ourselves.

"Gerard, I was going to ask you if you wanted to sit with me and three of my new friends at lunch, but since you now have a lunch detention you can't," I told him as we walked down the hall way together.

"What are your friends' names?" Gerard asked me.

"Frank, Mikey, and Ray," I told him, "Why? Do you know them?"

"No, I don't think so...," Gerard said. I frowned. I was hoping Gerard knew them.

"Can you sit with us tomorrow? I mean, if you want to...," I offered, hopping he didn't think I liked him and wanted to be around him every moment of every day. I did want to be around him every moment of every day, and that I liked him, but no reason for him to know that.

"I'll have to think about it, Tomato Face," Gerard said.

'I was blushing? Oh God...,' I thought, embarrassed.

To change the subject, I said, "We are at the bathrooms. Thanks for covering me in paint." I opened the door to the girl's bathroom.

"No problem," He said. I walked into the bathroom, an stopped abruptly when I noticed Gerard was following me.

"What the hell are you doing? This is the girl's bathroom!" I told him, trying not to yell at him.

"So? It's just you and me in here," He wagged his eyebrows at me. I blushed and hit his shoulder.

"Shut up," I muttered.

"What? I didn't hear you over your blushing," Gerard laughed at himself.

"Whatever," I said, starting to washing off my face. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Gerard lean against the wall to watch me. After a few seconds, I asked, "Don't you have something better to do than watch me wash paint off my face?"

"No," He replied instantly. I blushed again and continued scrubbing off the paint that covered my face. After a few minutes, he started to wash the paint of himself too. We din't talk after that until we were out of the bathroom.

"I never was able to paint anything," I said.

"Neither did I," Gerard said. I shoved his shoulder, "Yes you did! You painted me!"

"I never got a picture!" He argued back. For some reason I got a feeling he just wanted a picture of me.

"Okay, that's your fault. I can't do anything about that," I told him, opening the art room door for the both of us.

"Can I paint your cheeks red and take a picture of it?" He asked.

"Like pikachu?" I asked, and Gerard nodded, "Exactly." I thought about it for a moment before agreeing, "Only if I get to paint you too."

"Alright, class in going to end in five minutes! Get cleaned up, and turn in watch you have!" Mrs. Allen yelled. Gerard and I giggled and you started to clean up our paint brushes. Together, we walked up to the teachers desk. She sighed when she saw my face.

"Let me guess, Gerard, this is your "painting"?" She asked, putting quotation marks around 'painting.'

"Yes. Toria is my painting for today. Isn't it beautiful?" He asked. Just then, and only then, I was grateful that my cheeks were covered red paint.

"Just delightful. And your painting, Tori?" Mrs. Allen turned to me. To answer her, Gerard moved his shoulder length black hair aside to show her his neck. I painted the word 'creep' in black paint on his neck. Mrs. Allen placed her forehead in her hand.

"Okay... Okay, whatever. Should have seen this coming," She said more to herself than to us.

"Gerard, you still have that lunch detention. Head down to the office," Mrs. Allen told Gerard before walking away from us.

"That was fun," I finished my sentence just before the bell rang.

"See you tomorrow, Toria?" Gerard asked me. My heart flipped.

'No! You don't like him!' I told myself.

"Yeah, of course, Gerard. See you soon."
