About halfway home we saw a blue Mustang tailing us. Dally grabbed my arm and began walking faster. As the Mustang got closer Dally wrapped his arm around me pulling me close. The Mustang stopped and five socs jumped out, all of them walking towards us. Dally pushed me behind him trying to hide me from them, but they had already seen me.

"Hey, baby why don't you come and hang out with us instead of these greasers." The leader of the group said as he grabbed my wrist and pulled me away from Dal. He lifted me up and put me on his shoulder, I began kicking and yelling. I fell on the floor, hitting my head hard. I slowly looked up and saw Dally beating the guy up. The last thing I saw was Sodapop running to me before I blacked out.

*Dal's POV*

As soon as I saw Dani hit the group I jumped into action and started beating the living shit out of all of the Soc's. I made Pony and Johnny stay back and check on Dani while I handled them so they wouldn't get hurt either. After I finished fitting the leader they all ran back into their car and drove off. As soon as they left I ran over to Dani, picked her up, and rushed over to Darry's so he could take a look and help her.

*Dani's POV*

I woke up and got up to fast because as soon as I did I got a major headache.

"Take it easy Dani, you hit your head pretty hard," Darry told me as he sat down on the table in front of me. I looked around, all the guys were there, but Dally. I began looking sad and I guess the guys noticed because Darry said, "he went to Bucks."

I started crying, but honestly, I didn't know why. Maybe I missed Dally or maybe it was the pain. Sodapop walked over to me and sat down. He then picked me up and sat me down on his lap. I buried my face in his chest and kept crying. Soda started stroking my hair and whispering in my ear, " it's okay Dani."

After a while, I was done crying, but I still didn't want to move so I relaxed against Soda. I felt so safe in his arms. I was smiling and Soda noticed because he lifted my chin and smiled back at me.

"I'm glad to see your smiling again," Soda said showing me his famous movie star smile I had heard the girls at the Dingo talk about. I smiled back and then yawned. Soda stood up and carried me to his room, setting me down on his bed. He put me under the covers and kissed me on the forehead. He walked out of the room closing the door and I began falling asleep wondering if I have feelings for soda.
