When I got home that night, my mind was in a different place. The party was beginning to die down and Reese was getting frustrated with all the crazy kids still lingering around our house. Lilly was barely any help due to the fact that she was passed out in top of Keaton on the couch. It was cute, the way they were laying. I snapped a picture of Lilly's phone that was sitting on the stand next to their heads.

It would have been cuter if she would've been awake to help is clean up. Needless to say, all the kids were gone by 10:00 pm and Reese and I got the trash picked up by 10:30. I decided I'd put all the valuable decorations back where they belong tomorrow, or whenever I get time.

"Lilly," I whispered when I bent down beside her on the couch. Keaton's arms were laying limply at his sides, one hanging off the couch. I picked it up and laid it beside him. I turned my attention back to Lilly.

"Lilly, wake up. You're parents are going to kill you." I whispered. Her eyes suddenly shot open and she lifted her head to look around at her surroundings.

"What?" She said groggily. I chuckled and put my hand on her shoulder.

"You need to get home. You're parents are gonna be wondering where you are." I told her. She nodded her head and started to get up when she realized where she was. She started down at a passed out Keaton for the longest time before looking at me while I was still kneeling on the ground.

She held up her pointer finger to me and squished her face together, "Give me a minutes." She said. I smiled nodded.

From the kitchen doorway, I watched Lilly get off of Keaton and kneel down beside his head. She started whispered something to him and he rolled over on his side so he was facing her. She giggled and bit her lip, something she did only when she really liked someone. I smiled at the happiness my best friend had.

Keaton leaned forward and kissed Lilly on the lips. I covered my mouth to keep from being caught spying. After her little goodbye, she stood up and walked towards me while Keaton laid back down on the couch and fell asleep again. He would have to stay the night anyway.

I followed Lilly outside to the front porch and shut the door quietly behind me. She turned to me and grinned.

"So are you and Keaton...?" I started and her grin grew even wider - if that was possible.

"Yes, yes we are. He asked me tonight while we were slow dancing. I love your cousin, Jasey." She hugged me tight. I laughed at her.

"I'm glad you're happy." I told her. She backed away from me and I saw that her smile had fell into a frown. She pursed her lips together.

"What about you? Are you happy?" She asked me as she sat down on the edge of one of the porch chairs. I can tell that Lilly must have not drank anything tonight. She was probably too busy dancing or kissing Keaton.

"I am. I took Hunter home earlier because he was completely drunk. He didn't even know who I was." I started. "I just didn't want him driving home like that."

"You're a good friend, Jasey. He has no clue what he's missing out on." She told me seriously. Lilly stood up and hugged me tight.

"Love you sissy." She said quietly. I smiled at the moon.

"Love you too." And I watched her leave to her car. She pulled out of the driveway and turned to her house. Her headlights disappeared behind the trees.

It was times like these I was more than happy to be blessed with such a great best friend.

Danny was happy to see me the next morning. I had my bandana on this time and was in my full uniform.

I didn't waste much time on talking to Danny though. I went out to the register and started working. My dad wasn't home yet; he'd be home this weekend. But I needed something to do this evening. Danny told me I could come in if I didn't have anything to do. What Dad doesn't know won't hurt him.
