~And I'd choose you; in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I'd find you and choose you~

Slurred groans slipped past Grey's mumbling lips as Thomas came forward. I set my jaw when he decided to wear that God forsaken half mask, couldn't stop him but for fuck sake did it piss me off. "Take him to the table while I hold the rope" I held my awaiting hand out letting it twitch when his rough fingertips grazed my palm. With an irritated groan he lifted Grey from his spread eagle position to his shoulder. I could smell the wonderful aroma of Steak and the lingering scent of vegetables. My stomach lurched forward like an animal chained to a wall at the sight of a shadow. Saliva gathered in my mouth as I inhaled deeply, if no one told Grey it was human he wouldn't know delicious beef from even more tantalizing human. Thomas threw him from his shoulder as he neared the table and ignored the pained yelp from Grey, his rib must be cracked. His eyes went to flicker open when I begin to hurriedly wrap the rope around his feet, hands and torso tightly securing him to the feeble chair. The way his head rolled around made unpleasant cracking noises as he tried to regain his surroundings. "Wow, Thomas. You really hit him hard, he must've really pissed you off" Drayton with his hoarse voice sat at the table, scooting forward making the chair grind against the wood floor. Thomas only grunted In a manner of 'drop it' before pulling a seat next to my brother for me. With a whisper of 'thank you' I sat down readjusting to the uncomfortable chair. "So this twig is your brother?" Drayton's melo Joking tone rose my head from staring at the deep red stained table. He was looking at me with, admiration? No Stern face, no fear and no hate. My eyebrows pulled into a bunched line. "Well, yeah I guess" my voice raised in question trying to decipher his intentions. "I hope he sees reason then, I know how" he paused gathering his words as he peered at Grey's now awake face "I know, how it is to loose someone you love" was Drayton really showing sympathy? I slowly turned my head to notice Thomas was as well staring at him in disbelief. Maybe, just maybe he was warming up to me. "Okay, youngins' dinner is done. Steak and vegetables" Hoyt seemed more lively, either he was happy to have another Family member or he wanted more food. I gulped at the thought, would Grey really submit? Or would he be defiant and get himself killed? I mentally shook my head, No if he was looking for me for so long he wouldn't let me go. "Grace now!" Hoyt spoke with authority as we held each others hands. "Thank you god for giving us this wonderful meal, and we ask that you guide this young man with making the right decision" Hoyt cleared his throat "Amen" we echoed the same reply as Drayton and Hoyt handed out plates. A quiet whisper barley heard from my left over the clinking of plates being set "Roweana?" I turned my head peering over to the now fully conscious Grey. "What?" I spoke very softly not to arouse the other men at the table. "Untie me, we can get out together!" He whispered with the undertone of a raising adrenaline. "No" I quietly answered as I muttered out a quick thank you to Thomas as he filled my plate to the brim. Then the rustling of ropes being pulled on stopped me, is he really doing this? I reached my hand under the table pinching the skin near Grey's knee. He discreetly pulled away with anger, glaring daggers at me. "Why won't you leave with me?!" Grey's voice was picking up leading to the table going silent. I gulped down the complete annoyance from his demanding attitude. "Because, Grey like I told you before. My place isn't out there, my place is here with my family. With the person I love, I have told you this many times and your simple brain can't form as to why" I spoke through gritted teeth as anger was seething off of me. His body began to wiggle and thrash making the table shake. "YOUR FUCKING CRAZY! YOUR DELUSIONAL! THEY DON'T LOVE YOU, YOUR SICK! ALL OF YOU!" I flinched as his scream sent shock waves through the air. Then she surfaced, like a monster that stalked her prey, watching from the murky depths before she sprang onto them with ferocity and extreme speed. He doesn't understand, we can MAKE him understand. My chair landed into the floor with a clattering thud as I yanked the bone crafted furniture Grey was thrashing around in. I leaned it back dangerously close to tipping it as I leaned in, my lips turning into a snarl. Teeth barred, shoulders tense, heart race escalating to hazardous limits and pumping of blood as it pushes the plasma to my muscles. Grey's face was one of terror, the same face you give when a sledgehammer is about to crash down on your cranium and splatter your brain matter. "Do you remember Jack!" My voice raised and dropped between frequencies as I boiled with rage. His Adam apple bobbed as he twitched his head up and down. "I slit his throat" I corrected myself as I felt Jekyll squirm in defiance at my comment "we slit his throat, we killed him and then mom. Cut her tongue out. Who do you think we did that for?" I leaned more into Grey our noses touching as he began to shake "m-m-me?" He flinched as I slammed his chair back to the ground letting it sway back and forth for a moment before steadying itself at the table. "We protect my family, and if you don't join me your not Family" I hissed as I joined the baffled males and began to eat.
