I wish you were doing that to me,
I wish I could've given you the choice.
My tongue is bleeding from all the times I've had to bite it,
My love is numbing from all the times I've had to fight it.
For you, I'd do anything
For you, I'd do everything.
All the moments we shared are locked away so safely in my memory,
All the times we smiled and laughed are cherished so fondly.
When I look back and think of you, all I hear are your melodies,
The ones you wrote for me.
The ones you wrote so lovingly,
Just for me.
I should never have fallen deeply in love with you,
Because I knew how it would end,
I knew exactly what you'd do,
You called me your best friend.
And those two words are beautiful together,
But they're the ugliest when you wanted forever.
For you, I did everything.
For you, I'll do anything.

I'll keep my feelings locked away in my memories,
Even if they're serenaded by your melodies.
And if one day, you simply say no,
I'll forget how your melodies go.
