"Kc!" A voice yelled from down the hall causing me to turn. My eyes are blessed with the sight of Christian Lee. His tall and well built frame makes its way to mine with that gorgeous smile. His eyes sparkled with passion and charisma. His kind and gentle heart shines through almost making you forget how aggressive he can be on the football field. His dirty blonde hair lightly flaps in the breeze.

I know him well from workout class. He can lift up to two hundred fifty pounds, and squat even more. Not to mention how supportive he is to those in class who aren't as strong. He is a real angel. I remember when we were partnered up together on a field trip. That's how we officially met. I never liked the guy before. I couldn't believe that someone as good natured as him existed.

I only started to like him when he gave up his tent to one of the kids who were allergic to the poison oak near our camp sight. Not only that, but I remember catching him with tears on his face. I then discovered that he was adopted by an elderly couple who never got to have kids. During the trip his father had a stroke. I sat with him and gave him a shoulder to cry on.

Afterwards, we became the type of friends who the other knew they could trust. We didn't hang out much during school, but we had each other's numbers and often text. We would talk about many things. And we have shared secrets that no one else knows. It only took a short time before I began to develop feelings for him. I knew I didn't stand a chance, but I couldn't help it. That was the one secret I never shared.

Unfortunately, someone had found out. I don't know how, but word spread around fast and is now a known fact that I had a crush on the angel football player, Christian Lee.

Now here I am, watching as he walks towards my direction, and passes with a small smile. I nod in acknowledgement. That name he called out is one of the main reasons I stand no chance. Kaycey is not my name. I am not the girl who he graces with those beautiful hazel eyes. I am not the one who he wraps his arm around. Nor am I the one who gets to comb my hands through his hair.

My name is Katie. Not Kc.
