Chapter Seven

Eviction Notice

It's been a few weeks since Sonny offer, I decline it but apart of me wish I hadn't. We talked every other day because we both were so busy, the rent had went up and it was hard paying it. Jai had to go back home to help her sick mom, Tink got fired for fighting so now she works at a job that pays less then her old one so that just leave me. I've been nonstop, all crazy types of hours. The bills were stacking and once again my life was going down hill just that quick.

What was I going to do now?

"Here you are." I sat the shot down in front of the man with the scar on his face. Without a word he picked up the glass and gulped it down, I smiled and turned away rolling my eyes. He was creepy looking, he was eyeing me all night and he wasn't alone. He had two big bodyguard looking guys next to him, no one said anything but they all just stared.

Finally it was time to clock out, I was heading off to my home and comfortable bed. All I wanted was to wash up and climb into my bed with my air conditioner on high. I changed into some suitable clothes and ordered my Uber, I looked around watching my surroundings. It felt like I was being watched but I seen no one, actually for days I felt like I was being watched. Once my Uber came I climbed in the car and rode in silence.

"Thank you." I smiled at the man as I got out the car. I got out and walked over to the apartment building, I took the stairs since the elevators were down. Finally I made it to the apartment and once I opened the door, I saw Tink packing. "Hey where are you going?" I dropped my bag on the floor and closed the door.

She stared at me with all seriousness "I don't know what's going on but something weird is happening." She panicked.

"What are you talking about?" I walked over to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water.

"Someone has been watching us, I don't know if it's someone from the club or what." She zipped her bag and tossed it over her shoulder "I'm leaving for a while, staying at Derek's place. I suggest you do the same." She closed the door behind her. Great now what am I supposed to do? I rolled my eyes and walked to my bedroom "I'll figure that out tomorrow." I changed into some pjs and laid in bed too tired to shower.

The next morning rolled around quick. I woke up to someone knocking on the door, I sat up, my eyes barely opened. "What time is it?" I grumble, I took my phone off the charger and looked at the time, 12:45.

I got up and walked to the living room, must be Tink. She probably left her key I thought to myself, I opened the door to see no one around. I looked to my right then to my left still not seeing anyone, the hall was empty. I looked down to see a package, picking it up I went back inside closing the door with my foot. "Wonder what this could be." I sat the package down on the table and ripped it open, I don't know what I was expecting but I definitely wasn't expecting this.....it was a package of dead fishes?

"Ewwww yuck!" I pinched my nose, I notice a piece of paper under the fishes. I grabbed the paper and began to read it....

To whoever this may concern, this is your eviction notice. This is your warning, get out now or you'll be sleeping with the fishes.

I dropped the paper in horror, someone was definitely watching me! It felt like the room was closing in, what do I do next? Who wanted to kill me? I had so many questions and I know one person who might know what to do.
