"I can't believe this is happening! I'm really gonna be able to see my homeworld again!" You skip across the field with excitement. Alfonse, Sharena, and Anna follow close behind. "I don't know how much time has passed back home, what if everything is different, or what if it's all the same? I don't know what to expect, but I'm still so happy!"
"Isn't it exciting?" Sharena is almost as eager as you are. She always loves traveling to new worlds and you can't wait to show her around yours. It's not very often that there's a peaceful break between conflicts, this is the best chance you've had to take a backdoor venture like this.
"Now don't lose your head, Sharena." Alfonse reins her in. "This is a brand new world we have never been to before. There might be dangers that we aren't used to here."
"Oh, don't worry about that, brother!" Sharena ruffles his hair. "(Y/n) will be our guide!"
"Both of you are right," Anna points out. "Just to be safe, it's my job as your commander to accompany all of you and make sure nothing happens. If we brought any more than the four of us, we might draw unwanted attention."
"Exactly," Alfonse nods. "This is a secret mission. It gives us a chance to test that (Y/n)'s world is accessible through portals..."
"And!" Sharena interrupts. "It gives (Y/n) a chance to see her home again! She's been working so hard it's nice to give her a break."
"But I want you guys to enjoy the trip there also." You state. "Part of the reason why I'm so excited is I get to show you guys new and incredible things! When I first came here to Askr I was awestruck by the magic, and people, and dragons. So many things I'm not used to back home. Now you guys get the chance to feel the same way I did!"
Alfonse smiles, giving into the anticipation of the group. "I'll admit, though I'm trying to remain composed I'm delighted at the chance to learn so much about this new world."
"We've left our weapons safely guarded back at the castle," Anna speaks. "Trusting (Y/n)'s judgment, we won't need them and it's better to avoid the risk of losing them. Now all that's left is to wait for him..."
"He'll show up," Alfonse reassures. "And I trust him completely in helping us with this task."
The sound of horse steps alerts us to an approaching presence. Over the hill, we watch as the masked knight rides towards us. He stops next to us and dismounts, then smiles.
"Zacharias," Alfonse shares a quick embrace with his old friend. "Or as I should get used to calling you, Prince Bruno."
"Either name suits me just fine," Bruno nods. "I made sure I wasn't followed, this location seems secluded enough. Just like you asked, I'll close the portal after you guys travel through it."
"Then we're ready?" Sharena jumps like an eager child.
"Let's begin." Alfonse stands next to his sister. They face the open space in front of us and outstretch their hands in concentration.
"Focus on (Y/n) in your mind," Alfonse directs the two of them. "Reach out towards a single world able to produce our cherished friend."
"A world of unknown wonders." Sharena shuts her eyes. Slowly a faint blue glow appears in front of us. It grows in strength and size until it becomes a disk of magic large enough for us to walk through.
"Well done!" Anna seems impressed. "It seems like it should function just like the others we've used." She picks up a small stone and tosses it into the void, confirming it works. "Let's go."
"You can trust me to keep an eye on things while you're gone." Bruno states.
"Thanks, but if things go well that won't be necessary," Alfonse responds. "We will direct our return portal to this same point in time, it will be as if we never left." Alfonse then takes my hand and smiles at me. "You ready?"
I beam in excitement and leap through the portal, pulling a surprised Alfonse with me. Sharena laughs and jumps after us, with Anna close behind.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We land on the other side of the portal. I immediately look around and recognize the inside of my home.
"It...It worked! The place looks exactly the same as when I left. I wonder if..." You look around and immediately find your phone. You pick it up off the ground and chuckle. Turning around, you confirm that everyone made it through. The glowing portal behind them changes from blue to red before it shrinks and disappears.
"So this is inside your home?" Alfonse inquires.
"What's this?" Sharena's eye is drawn to a nearby gadget.
"A type of tome?" Anna picks it up.
"Ah, careful. That's my laptop." You gently place it back down in its spot. "Don't worry, I'll show you guys everything later. First, 'we need disguises'." You say the last line in your best Eliwood impression.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hee hee, what is this thing?" Sharena giggles as I help her get dressed.
"It's a zipper," I smirk. "You use it to fasten your clothes, like this..." I demonstrate with her jacket she's wearing. She chuckles more at the zzzzppp sound it makes.
"That's so cute!" She tries out the zipper herself. I step back and look over the outfit I picked for her. She's wearing light, washed-out denim pants with little tears on the legs, a soft pink tank top that matches her highlighted hair-tips, a white cropped jacket with a few small buttons, and sneakers.
"You look adorable!" I acclaim.
"Really?" Sharena smiles brightly and turns around playfully. "You look cute too!"
"Oh, this isn't much," I reply bashfully. I'm just wearing jeans, a graphic T-shirt, and a light sweater with a hood.
A knock on the door interrupts us. "Can I come in?" Alfonse politely asks.
"Ooh!" Let me see how you look!" Sharena prances to the door and opens it. Her brother shyly hides behind the wall.
"I don't know how well these foreign clothes suit me," he mutters.
"Oh pish posh, you look fine!" Sharena grabs his arm and drags him into view. He's wearing stylish dark jeans, a light teal V-neck, and a leather jacket along with a matching wristband. I'm thrown off by his handsomeness. I guess I didn't realize how badly I wanted to see him wearing casual clothes until this moment. We stare at each other for a few seconds before Alfonse speaks.
"Um, you look different, in a good way." He awkwardly compliments. "The clothes from your world suit you very well."
"Thanks," I shuffle my foot. "It's weird not seeing you in your armor, but you look very nice."
"Thank you," Alfonse seems reassured.
"I SMELL A BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY!" Anna barges through the door, startling all of us. The commander poses with her hands on her hips, showing off her outfit. It's a pair of overall-shorts over a sunny yellow tee and tennis shoes. Her ponytail is tied back with a yellow daisy hair tie. Sharena admires her friend's appearance while Anna continues speaking. "Just think of what we could do with this style, we can start a fashion trend in Askr!" Anna puts her index finger against her chin and smirks confidently. "And after we sell our line of clothes to the rest of the Order of Heroes, they'll take it back to their worlds, it will become even more popular, and we'll make a fortune!"
Alfonse and I shake our heads at each other and chuckle. Sharena resumes playing with her zipper.

[Author's Note: I'm probably gonna skip over them actually starting to explore. This book is supposed to be a collection of Alfonse x Reader scenes, so I'll just keep jumping around to different ideas like I have been already. If you guys really want to read more about the Askr trio in our world, I'll consider making a separate book about them getting into fun modern-day situations. The next chapter takes place in our world too, but the focus is back on the relationship between you and Alfonse. Anyways, hope you're having fun reading!]
