Kellinas P.O.V
Zoe held my hand as we drove towards the other side of the suburb where the primary and high schools were. It had been a few weeks since our wedding and I honestly couldn't be happier. She was officially mine. I let my fingers trace over her wedding ring smiling to myself.
"What are you thinking about?" Her sweet voice filled the car. I glanced at her quickly, seeing her glasses perched on her nose, her green eyes looking at me.
"Just how undeniably happy I am," I chuckled, bringing her hand up for a kiss.
"Me too," she whispered, squeezing my hand.
"So do you have like any boundaries to age or anything?" I asked as we pulled up to our destination.
"I don't think it matters as long as they don't cause trouble,"
"We both know I'd be the bad mum if anything happened,"
"I just can't be mad at people," Zoe sighed.
"That's not a bad thing love," I leaned over and brought our lips together. "I love you," I whispered against her lips.
"I love you too," She pecked me before we climbed out and headed towards the building. I intertwined our hands as we walked through the front doors.
"Good morning, how are you both today?" A lady asked us cheerfully.
"Good and yourself?" Zoe asked.
"I am good. Are you here for the meet and greet of the bright and happy kids here for possible adoption in future?"
"That we are," I smiled.
"Excellent," she clapped grabbing a paper and marker. "Can I have your first names please?"
"Kellina and Zoe," Zoe spoke. She wrote our names down and I frowned when she spelt my name wrong. Zoe chuckled beside me. We stuck the tags to our shirts.
"Feel free to mingle with some of the other couples and don't be afraid to greet some of the kids. We have kids aged two to seventeen,"
"Thank you," Zoe smiled. We headed through the building into the backyard that was full of other couples and heaps of kids. I looked around and noticed so many kids talking to couples and playing with each other.
"Where do you want to go first?" Zoe asked me. I looked around and saw an older boy and younger girl sitting on their own under a tree.
"Over there," I nudged with my head. We walked towards the two the boy shot up from the ground, the girl hiding behind him.
"Hello, I'm Zoe and this is Kellina," Zoe introduced us. The boy remained quiet but held the girl behind him.
"Ivory and Cassie," he spoke carefully.
"How old are you?" Zoe asked, smiling at them.
"Sixteen and seven," he replied. I watched as his grey eyes flicked up to me. He was about as tall as Zoe.
"Are you married?" Cassie asked, slowly coming out behind Ivory.
"Yes we are," I replied.
"I didn't know two girls could get married,"
"Well they can,"
"So if I fall in love with my best friend Valerie I can get married?" She asked curiously.
"Yes you can," Zoe replied.
"What do you two want?" Ivory's voice broke the silence. He sounded rather rude with his tone.
