Camila's POV

After class, I invited Ariana to come over to my apartment to hang out. We still had a lot to talk about, and I needed her advice about the party. The only thing that gave me some mental peace was that she'd be there with me. I knew she'd never miss on a chance of networking, and I had to follow on her steps.

"Just come to the party, I'll be there. I won't let anything weird happen." She reassured, and I nodded, finally ignoring the idea that it'd be a complete disaster. I lay down on my bed, resting my head on Ariana's lap.

"Okay, should I bring a date?" I inquired. Somehow the intention was to make Lauren jealous.

"A real one or a fake one?" She raised her eyebrow. Ariana either knew me way too well, or she was too smart; or both. It's like she always knew what I was thinking.

"Oh my god! Actually, at this point I don't even know anymore..." I pretended to be offended, but Ariana's look made me admit my mental breakdown with a laugh.

"I know you better than I know myself, and you like Lauren too much to be with anyone else." She simply said. I frowned; a bit shocked by the idea of her accepting the fact that I like her crazy best friend.

"No, I don't want to like her." I was in denial. I knew the foolish obsession could affect my focus on acting.

"But you do, and even in her immaturity, I know she's not a bad person and she likes you too. I kind of ship you together, but only if she gets her shit together." Ariana now was stroking my hair, which kept me calm even in my emotional despair.

"Why would you think that we could be good together?" It was an honest question. She did mention she knew Lauren in a better way than I did, so I needed to know more.

"I've never received so many messages from her asking for a person's phone number." Oh.

Ariana showed me the texts messages from Lauren on iMessage, begging repeatedly for my number. I gasped, almost beaming in surprise. That'd be an amazing comeback for one of our little arguments.

"Why didn't you give it to her?"I asked, laughing against her stomach which tickled her.

"Oh my! Stop it, Canola." I playfully slapped her leg at the horrendous nickname she gave me. "You two can't be involved until she ends things with Lily completely. I'm serious."

"No, I agree. I wouldn't start this kind of drama on my first week of school." Was I unconsciously agreeing to being with Lauren after she ended things with the other girl? What a slut I turned out to be. I'd blame Ariana for that.

"Good. Now let's pick something sexy for you to wear tomorrow and drive Lauren crazy all night." Yep, she was definitely taking all the blame.

" Yep, she was definitely taking all the blame
