Camila's POV
"You can try taking it away from me." She teased, but it sounded like a sloppy babble.
"Are you aware of how drunk you are right now?" I crossed my arms, watching her try to properly sit on the chair she was in.
"7 out of 10." More like a 10 out of 10. I sighed, snatching the bottle from her hand only for her to grab a can of beer and chug it down in like two seconds.
"Lauren, stop. You need to sleep it off, where's your room?" I started to get worried as her behavior was getting out of control.
"People are drinking there, plus I can't go to sleep while all of these people are still here. They could steal my dad's awards or something. But we can go to my dad's room I guess, he's in DelSol Valley for the weekend." She burped, and I was afraid she'd puke anytime soon.
"Okay, let's hurry up to the bathroom. I'll make sure nobody touches anything. Come on."
I dragged her heavy body into her dad's room, and it wasn't easy passing her through the crowd of people. I felt the need to take care of her even after all her bad behavior. I insisted in taking her to the bathroom, but she dropped herself on her dad's bed. I closed the door behind us, and the vibration of the music was only soothed slightly. I took the can of beer from her hand and put it aside, sitting on the edge of the bed to look at her face closely. She looked so beautiful, but so damaged. I couldn't help but caress her cheek, knowing she'd most likely not remember the little detail on the next day.
"You're acting very stupid. You know that, right?" I could tell she wanted to look at me, but her eyes were closing involuntarily because of the excess of alcohol in her body.
"I'm sorry. Please stay with me?" I gulped. I wanted to; it just wasn't a good idea.
"I can't stay with you unless you want Lily to kill me."
"Fuck Lily. I want you here." She complained loudly before burping again; this time it didn't look like she wanted to puke, thankfully.
"Lauren, this reckless attitude is what has you feeling like this."I felt like a psychologist or a mother, but I couldn't keep seeing her act that way without confronting her.
"Like this how?" Lauren finally looked into my eyes.
"Empty."
"You don't know how I feel. You don't know me, Camila." She tried to get defensive, and I just placed my hand on her face once more, making her shut up.
