Third Person's POV

"Is that Mr. Delmar's I smell?" Harley asked as he ushered Peter into the slightly messy room.

"Yes it is. One number five with extra pickles for me and a regular number five for you. I didn't remember what you got last time so I just picked something random." Peter said as he placed the bag on the bed and sat down against the headboard.

"Sounds just fine to me. I was about to starve in here."

"It's not like you could have gone down stairs or anything to go and get something." The next thing Peter knew there was a pillow in his hand yet again; it was like he was having déjà vu.

"You know I don't know how to get down stairs!" Peter just rolled his eyes and unwrapped his food as Harley rustled through the bag looking for mustard. Peter didn't understand how he ate that stuff.

"You got Sour Patch Kids?" He yelled while pulling the two packs out of the bag. Just as he was about to rip one of the bags open, Peter jumped up and took it away from him.

"Those are for after you finish your sandwich." He declared while taking the other bag away as well.

Harley pouted a bit and lamely tried to reach over Peter to get the sour candy. Peter simply slapped Harley's hand lightly and placed the candy even farther away.

"I'm a full grown man, I can eat candy before diner if I want." He said as he stood up on the bed. He didn't get far though, seconds later Peter gabbed Harley's ankles and pulled them out from under his body, causing him to land on his stomach.

"Those are for later. I didn't figure you would want to watch a movie or something without something to munch on." Harley huffed to himself but sat back up and went back to fixing his sandwich the way he wanted.

The two ate in silence for a few minutes. Peter looked around the room, taking it in.

There were band posters hanging all over the walls, there was barely even a bare space on the wall. Clothes were scattered all over the floor. His schoolwork was sloppily laid on his desk.

"How do you find anything in this mess?" Peter asked after a few seconds. Harley just shrugged as he finished chewing his bite.

"If its not in the floor its on the desk, if its not on the desk its in the floor."

"Uh huh. And where is your computer?" He asked, knowing it wasn't on the desk or in the floor. Harley smugly pointed to the bedside table.

"It's always in the table drawer. Ha!" Peter just rolled his eyes. May would have a fit if she saw Harley's room.

"Gross!" Harley complained, snapping Peter away from his thoughts. A mangled pickle hung from in between his thumb and index fingers. "I hate pickles."

"What is wrong with you?" Peter screamed playfully. "Pickles are the best things ever!"

"Well if you like them so much you can have this one." He said as he pretended to throw the poor pickle at Peter. Peter ducked down even though Harley didn't actually throw anything.

"That's disgusting."

"Yes, pickles are very disgusting." Harley agreed.

"Pickles are only gross when you chew them up halfway and act like you're going to throw them at people."

"No, they're gross even before you do that." Peter rolled his eyes at him.

They were quite for the rest of the meal until Harley finished his last bite.

"So what did you say about a movie or something?" He asked. Peter smiled a bit before suddenly leaving the room.

He could hear Harley yelling at him from the other room but he didn't listen. Instead he silently walked over to his laptop on the desk and walked back to Harley's room.

As soon as he turned the corner to walk into the room he wanted to groan and back slap Harley.

He was sitting with his knees to his chest on the bed. His head was down as he grabbed a handful of candy. Right before he shoved them in his mouth he caught Peter standing in the doorway.

"I thought you left me for the night." He said guiltily. At least half a bag of candy was already shoved in his mouth. He looked like a chipmunk. Peter just rolled his eyes and plopped down on the empty space beside Harley.

"What movie do you want to watch?"

"It doesn't matter to me. I'll watch just about anything."

"That's not helpful." Peter mumbled under his breath before clicking on a random movie.

The laptop rested on both boys' legs. One side was one Harley's left while the other was on Peter's right.

As the movie began to play Harley was quickly running out of candy in the large bag.

"I'm not sharing if you run out." Peter clarified with an annoyed voice. "You should have waited a bit longer before you just inhaled a whole bag."

"I didn't think you were coming back." Peter rolled his eyes playfully and kept watching the movie.

Halfway into the movie Peter felt something moving toward him. He looked down slowly to see Harley's hand inching closer to his bag of candy that was settled in between the pair.

Rather than slap his hand away Peter rolled his eyes a bit and placed the bag on candy on Harley's lap.

"Thanks." The boy mumbled with a slight smile.

"Enjoy it, it won't happen again."

"You mean this is going to happen again?" Harley asked, trying to keep the smile out of his voice.

"Well I would hope so. It's going to be a pretty boring summer if we don't do anything." Peter pointed out.

"You know, this kinda feels a date..." Harley trailed off. Peter couldn't help the blush that slowly climbed up his neck and settled on his cheeks.

"What if it was?" Peter asked. He wasn't looking at the screen anymore, the movie long forgotten. Peter stared at Harley, waiting for his answer.

Harley's eyes however were glued to the screen like it was the only important thing in life at the moment.

"Harley." Peter called out to which Harley responded with only a hum. "What if this was a date?"

Harley's mouth went dry. He had heard Peter the first time but ignored him hoping the subject would drop for now sadly that didn't work.

"Then this is a pretty sucky first date. I thought you of all people would have good game." Harley joked, his eyes still trained on the screen.

"Then give me a second chance." Peter blurted out before he could stop himself. This time Harley's eyes snapped over to Peter's to make sure Peter was being serious.

"You mean you want to take me on an actual date? Like in public?"

"I mean, if you want to. I mean it's totally fine if you don't. I don't want to pressure you into to anything..." Peter rambled before Harley cut him off.

"Sure."

"Sure? As in yes? As in yes you will let me take you on a date?" Harley couldn't help but smile as Peter rambled.

"Yes, you can take me on a date." Harley mumbled. Peter couldn't help the smile that popped onto his face at that.

"Do you want to watch another movie?" Peter asked when he looked back at the screen that was rolling credits.

"Sure." Harley mumbled again as he laid his head on Peter's shoulder.

Peter felt like his heart was going to beat out of his chest.

After starting the movie he slowly inched his hand closer to Harley's.

Harley's was cold compared to his but Peter didn't care. His handwrapped tightly around Harley's. They were both as content as they could be.
