Thorn stormed along the corridors that made up the pack house. He knew people were glaring at him as he walked into them but he was too far gone to care. It didn't matter. If he could save Jessika it didn't matter if they hurt him or not. They would hurt him anyway so what was a few more beatings.

It wasn't as if they would kill him. Even if they did, so what? he didn't have anything or anyone to leave for. Hael might feel a little bad but he was a demon so it was hard to know how they dealt with grief or sadness. Did demons even feel emotions? Jessika might would be heartbroken but that could also be because she was about to lose her mate.

Mates were something that brought no one joy. They were created as a form of weakness to those that needed one. People always said to kill them insted of their mates, which was the most moronic thing he had ever heard. Why should someone kill themselves for someone else. They must have been weak if they were even in the position where that would happen. If he ever had the misfortune of finding his mate he'd never kill himself for them. No that was for plebs and lesser minded people.

Even as an Omega he had his pride, when it wasn't out the window playing with decency and morality, which meant he would never take a mate. If someone asked him 'what was love' he'd answer the only way he knew and had learnt. Love was an emotion created by people to make others have a weakness. It created the illusion of immortality and longivity when in fact it made people forget what was actually happened. Love was the worst of all illusions and it was the best weapon that could be used to take someone down.

Thorn had vowed to never give into the illusion. He knew all about illusions, since he was very adept in creating them, and knew the moment he felt it it would break him. All hurt that came from being an Omega would be intensified. No longer would be pain be just on the outside, it would be inside making him whole with agony and dispair.

Thorn could hear some faint sounds behind him but he drowned them out with his thought. He didn't want to know who had come to stop him, it wouldn't help him at all. He had a mission and he would complete it or die trying.

"Listen to them, pup." Hael said suddenly leaning on the wall to his left. Thorn wasn't surprised though, he'd become used to Hael's inappropraite timing.

"Shut up you mongrel." He sneered to which Hael made barking sounds. When he came to Jessika and Landon's room he thought about the best way to enter. If he pushed himself in he'd suprise them for sure but that would cause them to get even more angry. 'Good, lets make them angry' the develish side of him encouraged yet the sane side was very against the ides. 'Break that door and you'll have to fix it. I'd love to see you do that while your on the floor a bloody mess'.

As he placed his hand on the door knob someone touched his shoulder. Not caring who it was, since it was most likely Hael, he grabbed the hand and twisted it behind the owner. He took unfamiliar delight in seeing it was Julian, there had to be something wrong with him. He smiled a devilish grin as he twisted Julian's arm again, not stopping until he heard the break of bone.

"I didn't want to do this." Julian said and to his credit he didn't appear to be scared. But then again why would he be. Hael perched himself mid air sitting Indian style with a bowl of popcorn. "Let go or it gets ugly."

"I'm shaking in my boots." Thorn sneered. "I'm going to kill him. Then you if you get in my way."

Julian shook his head then stepped on Thorn's foot. Quicker than Thorn would anticipate he headbutted the younger boy which caused Thorn to let go and stagger back. Thorn couldn't believe it, since childhood Julian had been the one person to not hurt him. But now he did, it didn't add up. Yet he didn't seem to care, quicker than a flash Julian became one of the numbers that made uo Thorn's revenge list, which was quite lengthy.
