Skylar's POV
Class ended, school was over. First day in school was considered epic. I packed up my stuff and swung my backpack on my shoulder.
Hearing Courtney call me over, I approached her and her friends. "Sky, meet Lexi and Lauren," I smiled at the twins, receiving a smile back from them.
"Where were you guys when we have class, I didn't see you ?" I asked, confused. "We got permission to come to school on the last period of class since we just moved house and it's quite hectic." Lily chuckled as she explained.
"I haven't seen Winston for the whole day, wonder where he is ?" Courtney asked with worry. I froze at the name, contemplating whether to tell or not.
"Maybe he's absent," Lexi said. "But I saw him this morning," Courtney started to bite her teeth. "I saw Colt and some boys beat the shit out of him," I blurted out, my eyes widening. Friends don't lie, right?
"I should've known," Coco sighed and ran her hand through her hair. "Thanks for telling me," she smiled and rushed to the school clinic.
"She's used to this ?" I asked, concerned. "Yeah, Colt often beat Winston for no reason," Lexi shrugged. "I hope he's fine," Lauren sighed. I seperate myself from them considering that it's quite awkward.

1 month had passed and nothing interesting really happened. I managed to keep my school record clean, never get to detention, and stay out from any trouble.
Colt kept beating Winston every freaking day, never getting bored of it. Guess Colt forgot my accounter with him, since he quite let it pass.
Winston is only able to attend the first 2 period of class, then he would be knocked out after that. I think his parents didn't dare to report since Colt's dad has a great relationship with a mafia leader, plus he's a really successful lawyer.
Tonight, we planned on having a sleepover to celebrate our 1 month friendship on Lexi and Lauren's house, checking their new house at the same time.
I rested on my comfy bed, tired from school. I checked the time which reads 3:00 pm, 4 more hours to go. I grabbed a small black luggage and filled it with what I'm gonna need for tonight.
I grab my homeworks and quickly finished it, not wanting it to get in the way of the sleepover. I prepared my books for tomorrow since we have school and placed it in my luggage.
I checked my watch, 1 more hour to go. I quickly showered and changed into a garfield printed cropped sweatshirt, paired it up with yellow shorts, and finishing it with some accessories.
I put on my hair into a messy bun. Pushing my bun into different directions until I'm satisfied with it.
The intercom rang before I pressed the button. "Ms. Sky, your friends await you," my butler replied. "Thanks, tell them to wait just a bit, I'll be there in a few seconds." I said as I grinned, excited for tonight.
I hurried downstairs through the lift while pulling my luggage. "Sky!" Lauren noticed me and gave me a friendly hug as the others joined too.
My butler helps me placed my luggage on Lauren and Lexi's white range rover. I climbed on the back seat with Coco as Lauren and Lexi will be infront, Lauren driving.
"Your house is huge," Lauren squeeled as she fixed the car's front mirror. "Thanks," I smiled at her through the mirror as the car rolled off.

"Truth or dare?" Coco asked cunningly, continued with an evil laugh. "Dare," I squeeked. "You have to try out for basketball club," Courtney smiled proudly to herself.
I grumbled, she had been begging me to join for the past 4 years, but I never wanted to. "You played basketball? That's sick," Lexi exclaimed. "You should join," she nudged my shoulder.
"You know you have to do the dare, you made a promise before we started the game," she smiled innocently. "Fine," I grumbled. "Time to sleep," Lauren said as she flicked the lights off, she acts like a mom to us in some ways.
