Skylar's POV

Why did I agree to make a promise to do any dare and answer any truths in the first place ?! Here I am, waiting in line to sign up for basketball team.

3 people are infront of me, and they're really tall, like from 175 to 180 cm. I finally got my turn and signed up. People are looking at me like crazy but I ignored it.

The coach called me over from his office. I sighed and approached him. "The basketball club is not some joke, the other members are tough. But if you want to make fun of yourself, tomorrow after school. I'll lead you to your team," He chuckled as he gave me the basketball pin.

"Why do you think I'm joking ?" I asked, confused. "Aw come on miss shorty, look at your height. I bet you can't even reach the net," He laughed on his own lame joke.

Before he could continue, I left him ignoring what he said. Just like my dad taught me, close your ears like a kid before it gets to your heart.

I put on my jersey shirt that has my name on it, from school. I put on my Jordan's and sighed to myself. May luck be on my side. Please.

"Are you done shorty, your team awaits you?" The coach snickered. I went out and followed him to my team. "Meet Ms. Shorty, your new team member." The coach smirked and left.

"You ?!" Paige fumed in anger. "Oh come on, look at you," She rolled her eyes. "Just give her a chance to play, you're still going to get the spotlight anyways," a girl reasoned.

"Ugh fine," Paige grumbled. "But you're gonna be the substitute player," She said. "Aurnalt studies vs Westwood academy female basketball!" I followed my team into the middle of the field.

"Let the game begins," the horn made a huge sound signalling everyone.

Chase's POV

I bring my popcorn with me and sat on one of the best seats with Colt and Kace. The horn was blown as I sighed. Our female basketball team sucks, only Callie and Tori can play well.

I began getting on my own world, imagining stuffs on my mind. A roar from the crowd is heard, Westwood got 2 points. Fucking great.

"Time out!" The person called out. I checked on the score, 2 from us to 17 from Westwood. Just like I expected.

They switched players, and surprisingly I noticed Skylar getting on the game. I shot my eyes open, making sure I'm not hallucinating.

The horn was blown, and I observe the game. A few gasps were heard from the crowd as Skylar swiftly avoided the opponents and scored, giving it a 3-points.

The crowds from our school roared out loud, including Kace and Colt. "Wait, that's the new girl, the one that blocks my punches," Colt mumbled to himself.

The game went on, everyone from out school who watched are getting excited. She easily scored another, and another, and so on. The points become a tie, shocking the Westwood Academy.

The horn blew off, Aurnalt Studies to Westwood Academy in 30 to 17. We won by 13. All of us cheered with joy, finally winning the female basketball competition after about 5 years.

The game ended, my eyes trailed along Skylar. Seeing her drinking from her bottle, wiping her sweat, fanning herself, and joined the others outside.

Skylar's POV

The game ended and we won, resulting a grin on my face. "Hey, thanks for being in our team. You know we wouldn't win without you with us. Anyways, I'm Callie," She smiled at me.

"I'm Sky," I smiled back. "I'm having a party tomorrow night, you interested?" Callie asked. "Yeah, course." I unlocked my phone and lend it for her to type her number. "I'll text you the address, bye," She said, putting a thumbs up and left.

I guess joinning this club wasn't so bad. "Hey loser, stay out of my spotlight," Paige, out of nowhere, popped out. She gave me a a death glare before leaving with her clique.

I take back what I said just now.

I finally updated, sorry for missing out too long. Exam is near and I'm supposed to be studying but oh well. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter.

Cheers, Cybergypsy
