It's summer of 1985 and Cherry Hopper was happy that everything has gone to back normal or has it?
What happens if everything wasn't as normal as she thought it was going to be?
What if she gets caught up in Russian business?
And what happens when...
When Cherry reached her house she saw El walk out the front door and down the pathway, "What's wrong?" Cherry asked looking at the young girl. "Mike, he...lied." She responds to her aunts question.
Cherry's eyes wided at the new information. "Oh." Was all she could say. "I'm going to see Max and tell her too." El tells her. "O-ok...well be careful." El nods "I will." She reassures Cherry.
El walks away. "I need a nap." She tells herself. She opens the door then locks it. She heads to her room and opens her door and walks over and flops on her bed. After a few minutes all anything that could be heard was Cherry's snors.
(time skip bc why not??)
Cherry woke up by the slamming of the front door, "What the hell?" Cherry groans. It's quiet for a little bit until she heard her brother yell. "Hey!" She flinches at the sudden noise. "When I say three inches, three-" She hears the door to El's door open with a slam.
Then after a minute or two she heard the door to her niece's door close a little softer this time. She then hears Jim's footsteps and the TV turn on.
Cherry sighs out and after a while Cherry closed her eyes and was out like a light.

The next morning Cherry woke up, the morning sun shining through the cracks in her curtain.
Once she finished getting ready for the day she heads out her bedroom but stopped and stared at how her brother was still dripping wet from a shower he most likely just took drinking out of their carton of milk.
He finished and put it back in the fridge, he turns and sees Cherry standing there with a questioning look on her face. "What the hell are you doing?" She asks. "N-nothing what are you doing?" He asks back.
"Um, I just came out of my room and saw you just chu-" She was cut off by knocking at the door "Hopper? Are you ther?" They both look at the door Cherry motions for Jim to open it.
"Why?" He wonders. "Why is it always me?" He mummble to himself while walking past her. "Because she's asking for you now open the god damn door." She tells him, Jim just rolls his eyes at her.
Jim opens the door and Joyce comes from the other side. "Oh! Look who it is!" Jim says sarcastically "We need to talk." She gestures to him. "Yeah we do." He says sounding unhappy and slamming the door while Joyce walks past him and to his and Cherry's fridge.
" I haven't been stood up like that since Alice Gilbert in the 9th grade." he says still quite upset because of last night.
But Joyce paying no mind to that right now because she was busy picking up the magnets that fell to the floor.
"What are you doing?" German Cherry wonder their faces contorting into confusion. "Joyce?" Jim questions. "Hello?" Cherry asks. "Just watch." she tells them. Joyce grabs one of the magnets and puts it on the fridge and let's go, the magnet falls to the ground, she doesn't a few more times, Jim and Cherry look at her wondering what she's getting at.
Jim and Cherry turn and look at each other then turn back to look at Joyce. "Ok, you're freaking me out." Jim and Cherry tell her at the same time. "You slipped on this, remember?" She asks. "Yeah." He confirmed. "Yeah, it fell in the night. It lost its magnetism." She said.
"Oh, did it." He asked. "And the same exact thing happened at my house the day before." She tells the Hopper siblings.
"Wow." Jim said rubbing his chin. "And I thought, "Okay, that's weird." Right? Why are all these magnets suddenly losing their magnetism?"
"Uh huh." The siblings hum. "So, I went and saw Scott." She starts to explain. "Scott?" Jim wondered "who's Scott?" He asked. "You know what? I'm gonna let you two talk, goodbye." Cherry tells them while making her way to the door.
Once outside she can still hear them arguing, Cherry sighs in relief, she was able to escape their bickering. Still not knowing what was to come next.
