I awoke to Rafael singing the too sexy for my shirt song terribly while he styled his hair in the mirror, occasionally using the brush as a microphone. I clutched my stomach and began laughing so hard that I could feel the tears already forming in the corner of my eye. That was very possibly the best way I have ever been woken up in my entire life!

He turned and looked at me horrified at what he had unknowingly shown me, "How long were you watching me do that?! It isn't nice to spy you know!"

"Honey, it's not spying if you are 'performing' out in the open!" I replied making air quotes with my fingers, still giggling a little bit.

"Don't laugh it's not funny!" he play-wined, which only made me laugh harder, we are going to be great friends!

"So, where are you from?" I asked deciding to test him and see if he was worthy of trust. I mean he could be a plant from the mole people to see if Connor had contacted me, or even follow me to see if I could be the link to finding the rebellion.

"I don't know, I don't really remember anything from before the ice age where we were chosen to freeze. I did have a like a memory flash though, I was with my parents and little sister, we were having a family picnic in my little sister's favorite park. That's the only memory of my family that I have" he said with a far off look in his eyes.

"Do you know if your sister was one of the ones chosen to freeze?" I asked with genuine concern. It brings back the pain that we are both felling for the loss of our parents. It hurts to know that my parents gave their lives for me to live mine.

"I don't remember, I was going to ask Manny today. What about you do you remember anything from before we went all frosty?" he asked.

Still not knowing if I can trust him fully, I answer with, "I don't know if I have any brothers or sisters but the only memory I have of my parents is when they were shoving me out the door to leave, and I guess come here. My mom hugged me, and she told me," my voice crack as the tears started filling my eyes, "she told me that my father and her were proud of me and that they loved me," the next thing I know, I'm being held against a strong chest and Rafael is rubbing my back. "Thank you," I squeak, "I just wish that they could have saved some of the parents too". Rafael and I just sat there on the bed hugging for a few minutes until I calmed down.

Rafael pulled away and changed the subject, "I know I haven't known you long, but I feel like I can trust you, and I want you to know that you can trust me too. I have found a note tapped to the bottom of the top of the dresser, inside the first drawer," he said as he dug the note from his pocket. Well I guess he did a more thorough search than I did, I mean this still could be a trap but let's see the note.

The note says, "If you are reading this, that means that you have finally thawed. You can't trust anyone in there, also watch your back there are cameras everywhere. You need to gather all the materials you can find to help us survive. There is a backpack hidden under the mattress to help you carry extra materials, once you have taken all you can, you must escape through the vents and find your way to Xera city if you need help find Luka or Declan Shark, they will get you everything you need," it was signed by Connor as well but it could have been traced, plus it looks like a slightly different hand writing, like it was rushed.

"Have you found the Shark brothers yet?" I asked, "or do you plan on staying, do you even trust this Connor kid? What are you going to do?" I threw at him, still unsure if I could trust this stranger. I mean sure we had a moment talking about our families, but I still haven't gotten the sign that I can trust him.

"I haven't even gotten out of this room to take a shower yet let alone find the Sharks. I don't know," he paused, "what do you think about this? What should we do?" the pretty boy replied.
