Poise :It’s the inner you

I therefore summarize that a good poise is like a moon that reflects the inner fire or sunlight within you.

For a smarter and attractive exterior you need an equally glowing interior.

But the million dollar question is ….

Is poise that important?

Isn’t the importance of poise over rated?

Don’t we put too much weightage on exterior appearance?

We often relate a good poise to the beauty pageant or an asset that is sole property of models or glamorous people.

I would say that is being judgmental.

Poise means a lot more.

I would like to change the pattern of the book here and answer you with a small fable; a true story/fact

I remember I once went to a competition as an audience.

There was this girl who carried an aura around her and I couldn't help but find out who she was.

Though I knew nothing about her and even learning her name didn't make any difference

Yet by the end of the tournament I had learnt a big thing.

The girl won the competition and since I had already started studying her and learnt the fact that attracted me towards her was her poise, the way she stood in front of me or everyone else back straight, tummy tucked in; mind it she wasn't a zero size instead she was a bit on heavier size and the jacket that she wore made her look even more heftier and there was so chance she looked pretty yet the stance that she carried along with her made her stand apart and finally took her to the lead and won her the tournament

I saw the girl again after couple of months in another tournament she was fiddling with her fingers inclining her weight on the wall although I still recognized the pink Nike jacket that she wore in the last tournament where she’d fascinated with without putting any effort.

Had I not seen her the other day I wouldn’t have recognized her

I did not too judge and therefore waited till the matches start.

Unfortunately she lost next day and was sent back home.

Since then I have tried to be observant about the players and their poise and most of the times my calculated and observed predictions turn out to be true

I studied the girl and her past for a while and learnt that past couple of months she’d changed her coach to a better one and had been working extremely hard for the game when she’d won the tournament while in the current one when she lost she’d been busy enjoying her sister’s wedding. She did go for practice but I guess Victory demands more
