"That's an easy one. 'SVS' stands for Secret Vampire Society and we just call it the 'Society' to include all supernatural creatures as well as the humans who know and protect the secret," Jessica, from my English class, says.

I start to laugh, but stop when I notice no one else is laughing at the joke. "I'm sorry. I thought you said 'Vampire' and 'supernatural', but that is crazy talk."

"You heard right babe," Leon says, coming out of nowhere.

"What are you doing here Leon," I ask him confused.

"I kind of belong here," he says sheepishly.

Once he says this, I realize he must be a supernatural creature of some sort. I don't even know my own boyfriend.

"Oh, okay," I say.

"Yeah, but it's super cool that your parents are the head of the 'Society'," he tells me.

"What do you mean," Cindy says, speaking up for the first time since our parents revealed themselves to us.

"It means that they are in charge of making sure that the 'Society' stays hidden from outsiders. They also keep the balance between all of us. Did y'all not have a 'Society' back in your old town," he asks curiously.

"That must be super stressful being in charge of so many people and things. I don't know if we had a 'Society'. This is all pretty new to us," I tell him.

"We've had years and years of practice to get use to all the responsibility," my father says.

"How long have y'all been in charge of the 'Society'," Cindy asks.

"Almost twenty years, I believe," my mother says.

"We were 'crowned' when we first got married," my dad says. He then turns to address everyone present in the room. "Everyone may go and get back to any of their responsibilities."

Everyone starts to file out of the room, including my siblings and I. We are stopped by our parents calling for us. We walk back over to see what they need.

"Your father and I would like to speak to the three of you for a few minutes if that's okay," our mom tells us.

"Is everything okay Mom," Elli asks, concerned.

"Everything is okay baby. Your father and I would love it if you girls would come over after school to talk, if it's okay with your adoptive parents," she says, adding that last bit quickly.

"I'm sure they'll be okay with that," Cindy says and I nod in agreement.

"Great! Then it's settled. We will see you after school. Now hurry and get back to class," she says, giving each of us a hug and then hurrying us along.

We began to head back the way we had come with Mr. M and Ms. C leading the way. When we made it back upstairs, we quickly hurried to our next class. I think we missed lunch and I'm absolutely starving. This class, which was World History with Mr. Mwa, was the only class that the three of us had together.

"I'm so looking forward to tomorrow," Ellieot suddenly said.

"Why? What's going on tomorrow," I asked curiously.

""It's our birthday silly girl. Don't tell me you forgot about our birthday," Ellieot says.

"Umm, no comment. I didn't realize tomorrow was July fifth," I say sheepishly.

"You need to pay more attention to your surroundings."

"Yeah yeah." I suddenly scream and everyone in the room looks at me.

"Is there something wrong Miss," Mr. Mwa asks me with a scowl.

"Sorry, I thought I saw a spider," I tell him.

"Well keep it down," he says going back to whatever he was reading.

After class, I explain to my siblings why I had screamed.

"I had some kind of weird vision where everything was covered in blood. It was really weird," I tell them.

"Hmm, that's really strange," Cindy says.

"Maybe you're getting your powers early," Elli says, mostly talking to himself.

"What are you talking about," I ask him, completely confused.

"You'll find out soon enough," he replies back ominously.

I just let it go for now, but I will be returning to the conversation at a later time.

My last class of the day was a free period, so I decided to explore the school a bit. As I looked at all the people around me, I wondered if they all were supernatural or if some of them were human and had no clue of what literally went on under their noses. The period went by pretty fast and before I knew it, I was walking home with my siblings and Leondre'.

Cindy and I were bickering back and forth about nonsense and Elli and Leon were trying not to laugh at us.

"Are y'all always like this," Leon asks us.

"Pretty much," Cathy and I said at the same time, which usually freaked people out, but the boys seemed unaffected.

"I can't wait to meet the people who raised you from the age of three," Elli says with excitement.

"Don't forget our annoying little brother, Conner," Cindy says back, rolling her eyes.

He just chuckles at her.

When we got to the house, Conner was sitting on the couch watching some show on NickToons or something like that.

"Hey Conny, where's Mom and Dad," I ask him, giving him a big hug.

"I don't know, I couldn't read Mom's cursive handwriting," he says.

"Ugh, I'll just call them," Cindy says, walking into the kitchen to do just that.

While Cindy was talking to our parents, I showed the boys around the house.
