"I think they're in on everything," Elli says, talking about my and Cindy's adoptive parents.
"Why do you say that, although I think you could be right," I ask him. I don't think it was a coincidence that we moved to the exact town where our biological family lived.
"I heard Mom and Dad talking on the phone the other day and I think it was with your adoptive parents, but I'm not totally sure," he tells me.
I suddenly hear a car pull into the driveway and I know that my parents have finally returned home. They told us to wait before we went anywhere, so that they could tell us goodbye properly and so that they could meet our new friends.
"C'mon. Let's meet them downstairs," Cindy says.
As we walk into the living room, I hear my mom asking Conner a question. "Hey Con Bon. Where are your sisters." I snort at the dumb nickname she has for him.
"They're in their room with a couple of guys," he says, I can already see the sinister look on his face because he knows that this is gonna rile up our dad.
"WHAT?! Girls! Get down here now," Dad's booming voice makes me jump and hurry down the rest of the steps.
"We're coming," Cindy and I say at the same time as we reach the bottom of the stairs and head into the living room.
"Hey Dad. Hey Mom. This is my boyfriend Leondre' from across the street and this is our long lost triplet brother, Ellieot," I say in one breath, hoping my dad doesn't catch onto the 'boyfriend' part.
"Oh, so you guys have already met him then" our mom says to herself.
"You knew we had a brother," Cindy asks with hurt in her voice.
"Yes, but we'll talk about that another time. What were you doing with boys in your room," Dad speaks sternly, mostly looking in my direction.
I look down sheepishly. "That's not important at the moment. Can we go to Ellieot's to work on a project for our history class?"
"What time will you be home," Mom asks, cutting off whatever rant our father was going to go on.
"Before midnight," I tell her, batting my eyelashes to sweeten the deal.
"Hmm. Make it eleven thirty and you have to take Con Bon with you," she says.
"What?! Why," Cindy yells out.
"Because we said so and your mother and I have a date tonight and don't want Conner home by himself for a long period of time," Dad says, looking at Mom lovingly.
"Ugh fine. We'll take the little booger," Cindy says, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Hey," Conner yells at the name, but Cindy only sticks her tongue out at him childishly.
"Are you guys walking," Mom asks with concern.
"No, we'll get a ride there and back," I reassure her.
"Okay, good. I don't want y'all walking alone in the dark," she says in relief.
"Thank you mommy," Cindy and I say, giving her a gigantic hug.

As we were driving to our biological parents' house, I started to get a weird feeling in my stomach. I felt like something bad was going to happen. I just brushed it off as nerves for meeting our parents officially and kept it to myself.
When we finally arrived, I was completely on edge and Leon started to notice.
"What's wrong baby," he asks me while putting his arm across my shoulder.
