"Where the hell is he?"

I sat at my desk, tapping my pencil impatiently, constantly looking back at the bay window across the room from me.

I looked back to the page of history homework in front of me. I rolled my eyes in disgust.

"Knock knock!" I heard someone say faintly.

Outside my window was my best friend, Ben. Ben and I have been best friends since elementary school, and I don't know what I would do without him.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I helped him inside.

"Just thought I'd stop by. See how your first day of senior year went." He sat down on my bed and made himself comfortable.

"I guess mine was okay. How was yours?"

"Good. I just can't believe we're seniors already."

I sat on the bed beside him. "I know, right? Like, don't you remember when we were just tiny second graders?"

"I know! Time flies—," Ben was cut off by my boyfriend, Matt, bursting through my window.

I immediately jumped from the bed, hoping he didn't see me so close to Ben.

"Hey, babes. How was your day?" He said as he wrapped his arms around me and his hands found my ass.

"Good." I answered him quietly. I hated to make Ben feel uncomfortable.

"Uh...I'm gonna go now." Ben got up and climbed out the window.

I looked back to make sure he got down safely. Matt's hands then gripped both sides of my face and turned me to face him.

"Why was he here? I thought I told you to stop spending so much time with him?" Our faces were now inches apart and he was giving me a death stare.

"He just wanted to ask how my day was."

"That's what a phone is for. Tell him to stop giving you random visits like this. You are mine and only mine. Got it?"

"Yes." I said weakly.

He kissed me sloppily and then let go of me.

I loved Matt dearly, but he hated Ben. I've told him many times that Ben and I are just friends, and that it would forever stay that way. He didn't care, though.

He wanted him out of my life.
