Chapter 5

Abby

"I told you to not let her come here! Now look what happened?!" i shouted at my husband. We are in the infirmary waiting for Nyoko or the queen to let us see our daughter. I want to destroy the double doors just to see her.

"I did not expect this to happen Abby!" he said with worry in his eyes. I burst into tears "she is safer there in our land..The queen promised to protect her.. Why... Why now.." i said while crying. I felt warm arms encircled me in embrace. Then i cried till the double doors bursted open revealing Nyoko. I was terrified to see him because splattered blood is visible in his white coat. The doctor spoke" you can see her now.. She's stable." i released a heavy sigh feeling relieved at the situation knowing my daughter is alright but i can't still help feeling terrified. Now everybody knows her existence everybody in the kingdom knows who she really is. I immediately ran inside the double doors but i was stuck in place of what i saw cause the first time in my existence i finally saw emotions from the Queen. I saw the Queen kneeling down at the side of the bed, holding my daughters hand while she's in tears. I felt my husbands presence at my side looking at them with awe. The commander arrived at the scene the Queen noticed her presence she stood up and her facial expression immediately changed. It became deadly. The commander bowed and spoke "We have retrieved the gun who shot the princess my Queen. It belonged to Azgeda military equipments. It seems we are not wrong. The ice Queen was behind the attack targetting mainly the sky princess." "HOW COULD SHE KNOW ABOUT HER?! WE KEPT HER HIDDEN FOR MANY YEARS NOW!" I said with anger in my voice and can't help but interject with their conversation. I felt my husband caressing my back trying to calm me down. "that we don't know unless someone close betrayed us.." the commander answered. Then we felt surging power making the calm skies rumble. I saw the Queen's green eyes glow her face says it all. Death will reign. Then a pack of dragons roared loudly outside the castle. I saw the Queen's dragon at the wide big window leading the balcony its like waiting for the Queen's command. The Queen looked down at my daughter caressed her face lovingly before moving away meeting her dragon. Now its pouring rain outside and without a care she stepped out looking at the dragons bowing before her. "Bring me Niyah and i want her Alive! I'll let her witness how her magnificent Kingdom burned to the ground!" the commander bowed and immediately complied to the Queen's command. "Oso throu daun ogeda" the Queen whispered to her dragon then a vengeful roaring sound echoed. Just like that the dragons flew flapping their magnificent wings towards the ice nation's kingdom. She walked back towards us with grace her powers are radiating making us all shiver. Her jaw clenched and her hands are tightly fisted. "Indra!"
"yes my Queen.."she answered.
"protect my Queen while I'm gone.." the Queen said. Indra bowed and said. "with my Life." The Queen stopped in front of us. "I'm sorry.. Niyah will surely pay for this.." she said. "Can i take part of expliciting punishment my Queen.. I would be satisfied if her blood poured on my hands.." My husband said with venom in his voice. The Queen nod then she signalled him to follow. I moved towards my daughter and pushed gently the strands of her hair hovering her lovely face. I can't help the tears slowly pouring down my cheeks. I'm afraid that i might lose her this soon. "The Queen will protect her with her life your Grace." Indra spoke reassuring me that everything will be fine but i know peace was long gone when fate made my daughter the Queen's mate.
