Chapter 10

Clark

"wake up... Wake up.." i jolt up and catched my breath. I held my chest and tried to calm my fast beating heart. When i recovered i looked around and saw unfamiliar things. Where am i i thought. Then flashes of the events of the moon festival invaded my mind. I held my head and remembered everything. I remember i was getting ready for the presentation of the moon when suddenly a voice whispered to me to step forward and just like that I saw the Queen in her throne. I heard my heart fast beating every step i take closer towards her. I sang the moon song with my heart, i look at the moon and it seems it was calling me. I remember how the Queen look at me with her stunning green eyes. I remember the stinging pain of the bullet.. I quickly look at my stomach but there was no bandage in fact its flawless like nothing happened. I moved out of the bed and pushed the double doors i was startled to see Royal guards outside my room they were shocked to see me and immediately bowed. Am i in the castle? "where's my father?" i asked them. "they are in the battle room my Queen" one soldier answered. "thank you..." i said but turned back and corrected the soldier "im sorry but im not a queen im just a princess" then smiled before walking towards the battle room. I saw five bulky men in the hallways and they immediately stopped talking when they saw me. "your highness.." they said in unison and bowed. The dark tall bulky man stepped forward and introduced himself "Im Lincoln leader of the Lycans came to serve you my Queen.." "why does everyone keep telling me that I'm not a Queen.. Yet..." i answered. But i immediately moved back when i remembered he said Lycans. Lycans are  vicious and feared by everyone who is weak like me. I think he read my mind when he slowly bowed and submitted to me." we will not harm you my Queen we will serve you till the day we die.." i was confused from all of this what happened when i was asleep? I stepped back and ran away trying to get away from the Lycans. I saw the battle room and immediately pushed the doors opened startling everyone in the room. I was also stuck in place when i saw the councils and every high rank species in the room. The Queen stopped what she's doing and looked at me with intense gaze. "honey.." i heard my dad called me his face seemed relieved to see me and become teary eyed. But my attention was focused to the green eyed Queen on the throne. I don't know why or where i got the courage to moved closer towards her not removing my gaze to her direction. She too didn't moved an inch as i walked towards her till we're now face to face. I could smell her sweet scent intoxicating me. I saw her eyes changed into brightest green and i felt mine getting warmer. The room now grew silent. It felt like my body got its own mind when i reached to touch the face of the Queen caressing it softly. She leaned to my touch and closed her eyes. I don't know why but i really want her to be mine. Even though i just knew the Queen it seems like I've been longing for her all this time. She opened her eyes revealing sadness, regret and other emotions. Tears began to fall in her beautiful face. I look at her lips and licked mine and just like that i closed our gap kissing her passionately on the lips forgetting the fact that we are surrounded with her councils or my father for that matter and forgetting the fact that this is a major offence and it could cost my life for not only touching the queen but also kissing her uncontrollably. She responded to my kisses at the same intense passion. She pulled me closer towards her inviting me to take more of her luscious lips. Then suddenly flashbacks began, events that i didn't recognize. She was in the sky throne room she met me when i was still a baby, she looked at me lovingly then another event where she talked to the oracle declaring to kill me, then another where she talked to the commander that she wants to reject me cause I'm weak and series of events invaded my mind. I pushed her away from me with tears in my eyes i stared at her angrily. She looked taken back and confused. "YOU REJECTED ME?!" Her face showed recognition, shocked and regret. Tears are also spilling in her eyes. "HOW DARE YOU!!" I spat angrily. "I DID IT TO PROTECT YOU!! YOU WERE JUST A BABY FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!" the Queen answered back. "NO YOU DID IT TO PROTECT YOURSELF!! CAUSE YOU DON'T WANT A MATE THAT IS WEAK!!" I answered back. "No that is not true!! I did all this trouble to keep you safe!!!" she said. "I DON'T BELIEVE YOU" then when i said that the Lycans suddenly pounced growling at the Queen surrounding me protectively. The wolves growled back at the Lycans threatening their Queen, vampires and witches also defended their ruler then i heard dragons angrily screeching outside the palace. They moved infront of her in a protective stance. "Clark honey please.. Its not like that.. The Queen did it all to save you.. We did this all to keep you safe.." i heard my father explaining on the queen's behalf but all i felt right now is pain and hate. I saw the Queen looked at me with sadness in her eyes. She looked hurt. I should be the one who's hurt by what she did. Our subjects are now growling at one another waiting for each leaders command. The oracle was shocked when he saw the commotion. He looked helpless looking at both of us with concern. " ENOUGH!" the Queen shouted angrily making everyone bowed and submit except for me. "Leave us.." she commanded. Everybody immediately went outside except for the Lycans. "command your subject to stand down." she said. "who are you to command me." i spat. "please Clark" she pleaded. I sighed heavily then signalled the Lycans to go. They hesitated at first but later on complied. When there was just the two of us she signalled me to follow her. Still on guard i followed towards the balcony. "what are we doing here.." in the speed of light we are now transported back into the bedroom I've been. She looked at me with longing and was about to stepped forward but i immediately moved backwards. She sighed heavily and turned to the couch. She sat on it and signalled me to sit also. I chose to sit infront of her instead of next to her.  "I'm sorry.." she said i could see the sincerity passing through that lovely green eyes. "but I never regret the choices I made.." i scrunched my brows together and i could feel my blood boiling. "i never regret it Clark cause it kept you safe for 25 years.. But i regret not having you by my side for 25 long years.. I want to be with you more than anything in this world.. I want you.." i could see how she held back her tears the intense emotions reflected in her eyes." You acted like I was nothing to you.. "i said with hurt in my voice." That's not true.. I gave Anya orders to always protect you.. " she answered." Anya is not you. "i said firmly. I heard her heavily sighed. Then silence filled the room. I looked down on my hands shaking with the overwhelming emotions. I gasp when warm hands held it gently. I didn't even sensed her moved towards me cause i was so preoccupied with the situation. She kneeled in front of me holding both of my hands and kissed it. I looked at her and scanned her beautiful face. I couldn't believe i was mated to the supreme one. She looked at me with pleading eyes and i gave in. I removed my hands and looked away. "I'll give this a chance but it doesn't mean I forgive you.." i saw relief in her face she was about to touch my face but i moved away. I saw hurt in her eyes but i ignored it even if it pains me to see her like that. "Thank you..." She said softly. I nod without showing any emotions then i got up and walked away. I didn't dare to look at her cause i know just looking at those beautiful green eyes of hers my walls will easily melt.
