Chapter 1

SKY KINGDOM

"My beloved the nobles from different clans has arrived.." the sky king announces with glee to his wife. He is very excited and honored to have the different clans and most especially the queen to bless the presentation of her beloved daughter to his people. He is very proud as he looked at his beautiful daughter sleeping soundly on her mother's arms. He kissed his wife on the forehead and ushered her towards the throne room. The trumpets sound as the double doors opened for us. We walked on the red carpet and saw my people cheering and bowing to their ruler. The nobles from different clans are at front with big smiles on their faces, we bowed to them as a sign of respect and they also returned it happily. I ushered my wife to her throne then I stood at the center waiting for the queen to arrive. Minutes later we heard a loud roaring sound of the dragon that indicates her presence, my people outside cheered for the queen, we saw Heda the queen's dragon outside the castle flapping his magnificent wings then the double doors opened and  revealed the most powerful and beautiful creature ever existed blessing the palace with her presence. My people including us nobles immediately bowed down. Well who wouldn't sensing her aura the weak will tremble and the strong will bow down. No one will dare to get to the wrong side of the queen of the damned even if the ice queen is itching to be in her place but i know she wouldn't stand a chance. She walked on the red carpet with grace wearing her black diamond crown and black body hugging long gown revealing the tattoos of her arm and back. At her right side is lady Anya the commander of 13 clans and on her left is Titus the oricle and flame keeper. As she reached the throne i smiled at her and said "I'm really honored that you've come your highness." She smiled then looked to the direction where my wife is standing. "come your majesty i want you to bless my daughter with your grace.." She followed me as well as the commander and titus trailing at her back. I smiled at my wife and held her back as we present my daughter to the queen. "Your majesty may I present Clark Elinoise Griffin heir of the sky kingdom" i proudly said. As i look at the queen i saw emotion passing to her eyes but i couldn't read it. Her right hand slowly raised landing on the cheeks of my sleeping daughter and just like that she woke up revealing her beautiful set of blue eyes staring directly at the queen then she smiled and giggled. I was stuck in my place even my queen was shock to the reaction of my daughter. "may I?" the queen asked my wife extending both of her arms. "ah.. Ahm.. Yes. Ofcourse your highness" my wife answered with hesitation and pass my daugher to the Queen. She held my daughter with so much care reflecting in her green eyes with adoration and love?. We looked at the queen and was shocked and at the same time awed. She never showed this kind of emotions before. Even the nobles were stuck in their places. I saw Titus smiling and also the commander looking at them with softness in her eyes. The queen kept caressing my child's cheek and she would react and tried to reach and hold her fingers. She kept on giggling which made the queen smile. For what goes an hour or minutes nobody dared to break that moment. Its like seeing a new side of the queen. She's never been this soft even to other children around the palace. She is always known to be cold and aloof but now.. I may think otherwise. She stopped caressing and looked at us, she cleared her throat and immediately pass my daughter to my wife "You have a beautiful daughter Congratulations" she said. "Thank you your highness" i answered and she nod while still looking at my daughter. Maybe she longed to have a child someday that's why she grew found with her but the connection they had earlier made me think and confused. The voice of the queen pulled me up in my thoughts "Show her to her people, let them know how blessed they are to have an heir to the sky kingdom" i smiled and said "yes ofcourse your majesty" then i lead my wife to the balcony, carried my daughter and showed her to the entire kingdom. Cheers erupted from my people. Then I announced "LET THE FIEST BEGIN!!!!!!"

Music and cheers echoing in the sky kingdom. Everybody is happy celebrating the birth of the princess well All.. Except one.

LEXA
I slammed the door shut my hand maidens quickly exited the room all avoiding me like a plague. I can feel my powers radiating waiting to be released. "Calm down lexa" I heard Anya at my back. I harshly turned to her and said "HOW CAN I CALM DOWN ANYA?!? THAT BABY UP IN THE SKY IS MY MATE! SHE SHOULD'NT HAVE BEEN BORN!!! SHE'S TOO FRAGILE AND WEAK!! HER LIFE IS ALWAYS AT STAKE BECAUSE OF ME!!! I WANT TO END HER IN ORDER TO SAVE HER FROM THAT FATE BUT I.. I just cant do it..." i can feel my eyes burning and my k-nines coming out due to my frustrations." Yes you almost exposed her during the celebration, you couldn't even take your eyes off her.. Look Lexa this is not what you've planned and its very dangerous base on your rank but you know having a mate is a best thing life could give in this kind of world. And you deserve one too.. You deserved to be loved and you deserve to be happy.. So please don't be so hard on yourself.. Don't repeat the same mistake as I did.. " she said. I could hear the sadness of her voice. I sat on my chair and rubbed my temples. The room grew silent for a while then i spoke." She should be far away from me as possible in order to keep her safe.. She's still a baby for goodness sake.. I don't trust anybody even the councils of the clan might betray me.. You Anya is the only person i could trust my life with.." "What do you want me to do?" Anya said. "I want you to summon the sky king and queen privately no one should know about this only you and the flame keeper could know their presence.. I need to talk to them.." i said. "what are you planning to do lexa?" Anya asked with worry. I looked down and said "Reject her as my mate.. Marry someone else so that no one will know who she is and what she's supposed to be.. That's the only way i could give her a peaceful life.. I may not visit the sky kingdom anymore so i need you to do that for me.." "you know you're going to regret this.." Anya said. "love is weakness Anya.. She's my weakness.. And i can't afford to be weak in front of my people. For the sake of the kingdom and her life. This is what I must do." i answered. "Tell the Sky king to be here by dawn. You're dismissed." then i stood up and walked inside my washing room. I looked at myself in the mirror and saw a lot of emotions in my eyes. I felt weak. Then flashes of blue eyes kept hunting my thoughts. "I'm sorry..." i whispered. "You don't deserve me princess..you deserve to live.."
