josh watched from his desk in the back of the classroom as tyler entered the classroom, smiling, surrounded by his friends and teammates on the basketball team. he was one of the best players in the entire state of ohio and it showed at his games. they've one almost all of their games, except for a couple, which were very close games.

josh smiled to himself before turning his attention t the teacher, who had just clapped their hands to get the attention of his students.

"today class," mr. ross started and took a seat on his own desk. "i'm announcing our music project for the year! this project is very important and worth 75% of your grade. you and your partner, or group, if discussed with me, must create 3 songs, all original and written by yourselves, by the end of the year. you must play your own instruments as well, so i suggest you start practicing if you can't play any instrument. the songs can be instrumental and you will perform them in front of the class."

josh's heart lurched at that. he had serious anxiety and stage fright, and getting in front of 20+ people to perform did not sit well in his mind. especially if he had to play with someone he didn't know.

"i will hand you a paper of all of the requirements and i will assign your partners tomorrow. for now, i'll you guys have a free day."

the class cheered at that and mr. ross passed out a white sheet, then let everyone do as they please.

josh spent the rest of the time staring at tyler, and sketching him.

it turned out pretty good.

"dude, that guy kept staring at you in music today." brendon commented as he and tyler walked down the hallway, on their way to lunch.

"there's a lot of guys in our class bren. you gotta be more specific."

brendon rolled his eyes. "the boy with the pink hair. the one who sits in the back of class and never talks to anyone. do you think he's mute?"

"i don't know, and i don't care. a lot of people stare at me, i know i'm gorgeous." tyler smirked before turning into the cafeteria, brendon following close behind.

"ok, but this was like, a creepy stare. he would look up at you, then look away and into that little notebook of his. he's weird if you ask me. he was probably drawing you."

they both sat down at their usual table, waiting for the others to show up.

"dude, like i said, i don't care. if he draws me, good for him. i just hope he's at least good at drawing."

their other friends started to join the table, brendon instantly clinging onto his boyfriend, dallon, and tyler's girlfriend, jenna pressing a kiss to his cheek.

"look, there he is!" brendon said, pointing to the same boy in music with the baby pink hair.

josh's gaze met tyler's for a split second, before he blushed furiously and looked away, immediately leaving the room.

weird. tyler thought, but more of in an intrigued way than disturbed.

"what about him?" dallon asked and looked down at tyler and brendon.

tyler spoke up before brendon. "b thinks that boy is some creepy stalker."

"because he is!" brendon suddenly yelled.

"what makes you say that? he just looks like a shy kid." jenna raised an eyebrow at brendon, making him shake his head.

"he was staring at tyler in a creepy way in music and i think he was drawing him. he had a notebook and everytime he stopped looking at him, he would go and write something, or draw, or i don't know. but he is weird." he said in a serious tone, which he rarely ever used, because it's brendon. when is he ever serious?

"sounds like you're the one obsessed with him." dallon teased and kissed brendon forehead. "just calm down and eat."

tyler stood from the table. "i'm gonna go find him and talk to him just so you can shut up about it."

he kissed Jenna's cheek before leaving the cafeteria, thinking of places the boy could be.

he checked the bathrooms, the gym, and even asked a few people who were hanging out in the hallway. nothing. tyler finally checked the last place he could've been, which was the library.

he opened the wooden door and closed it quietly, almost silently, and looked around. the librarian was gone, probably on a lunch break, so he didn't have to worry about her nagging him about random shit.

the library was fairly big, and tyler rarely ever came in here, so it was really easy for him to get lost in the mass amount of bookshelves.

tyler rounded a corner, but instantly retreated to behind the bookshelf. the boy with the baby pink hair stood with his back turned to tyler, scanning some books that sat dusty.

tyler took a deep breath, before stepping out from his place.

"um, hey." he said hesitantly. the boy froze instantly, making tyler raise an eyebrow. "i'm tyler, and my friend brendon-"

tyler was cut off by the boy running. fast. he ran out of the library and tyler ran after him, trying to grab onto him, but the boy was just a bit faster and managed to speed further ahead.

tyler chased the short boy outside into the field, and that's when his legs finally gave out.

the boy fell.

tyler tripped.

"listen... i don't know... what the hell that... was," tyler panted out. "but i just... want... to talk."

the boy who layed helplessly underneath tyler was red, from both running, and embarassment. his axiety was through the roof because it definitely wasn't like his whole crush for the past 3 years was on top of him. no, not at all.

josh's breathing picked up as he opened his mouth to say something, but no words came out. he was freaking the fuck out and he couldn't do anything about it. compared to tyler, he was a feather. tyler was way stronger than him and josh was so fucking surprised when he was able to out run him. maybe because he was basically running for his life and he was absolutely terrified, hell he still is.

"are you gonna get up or what?" josh was so focused on trying to breathe he didn't even realize tyler had gotten off of him. he was both relieved, but sad about it.

he scrambled to his feet and immeediately started running again. he wasn't ready. he wasn't ready to face him. no way could he do that, not in a million years.

josh was too busy running to notice that his notebook had fallen out of his bag.

and he was too bust running to notice tyler had picked it up, and now had another excuse to talk to josh.
