tyler was pacing his room, anxiously biting his nails as he tried to rack his brain for ways to break up with jenna. it was thursday night and his last day to break up with her was tomorrow and if he didn't do it, dallon would for him, and god knows that would be so much worse.

josh came into the room and immediately rushed over to tyler.

"h-hey, l-look at m-m, tyler. i-it's ok, everything w-will be f-fine."

tyler shook his head and looked at josh. "no, josh it's not ok. everything's fucked. I don't know what to say to her or what I should do. i-i can't do this, I might as well let dallon break the news to her-"

josh cut him off by kissing tyler, and he almost immediately calmed down.

"stop w-worrying s-so much. b-being worried o-over i-it isn't g-going to h-help anything." josh grabbed tyler's hands and rubbed circles on them with his thumbs.

tyler took a deep breath and looked down at josh.

"thank you."

josh shrugged. "n-no pr-problem. you j-just need t-to r-relax, and calm d-down. e-everyone exp-periences br-break ups. it's p-part of l-life."

tyler nodded and smiled softly, kissing josh's forehead.

"i seriously don't know what i'm going to do." he whispered and groaned.

"h-here. wh-why don't y-you practice o-on m-me?"

tyler raised an eyebrow. "you want me to pretend to break up with you?"

"i-it's for p-practice!" josh exclaimed and sat on the bed, bringing his knees to his chest.

"i can't, you're too cute." tyler whined.

"oh m-my god." josh sighed. "f-fine, then p-pretend, she's r-right in front of y-you and say wh-what you feel."

tyler nodded and took a deep breath.

"jenna... listen. this past year with you has been amazing, and you know i'll always love you, but not as lovers..."

tyler looked at josh.

"th-that was g-great!" josh stood and kissed tyler on the cheek. "n-now all you h-have t-to do is s-say that t-to her t-tomorrow."

tyler smiled, then yawned tiredly.

"b-but right n-now, sleep." josh giggled and both of them climbed into bed, getting under the covers, josh curling into tyler's side and both of them fall asleep in a matter of minutes.

---

josh sat up in bed and looked around hazily. it was still fairly dark outside, but the sun was starting to rise.

he untangled himself from tyler and got out of the bed silently, rubbing the sleep out of eyes as he looked out of the bay window. the sun just about peeked through the hills in the horizon, creating a vibrant pink and orange sunrise.

josh smiled contently and sat on cushions covering the drawers in front of window and stared at the colors that started blending together, making the sky look like and unfinished painting.

"it's beautiful, just like you." tyler said from behind him, making josh smile and blush.

tyler sat down in front of him and smiled at him softly.

"why are you up?" tyler suddenly asked.

josh shrugged. "i-i just w-woke up b-by myself. wh-why are y-you u-up?"
